What I live about Arlington is that is not composed entire of the Yorktown District, but also has cool, urban, and diverse areas (not all are all three though) What I like about McLean is that it is far enough of from me I can ignore it most of the time. |

Different kind of vibe, IMO. McLean is more suburban or even rural feeling. Arlington is more dense, but not quite the same as living in DC.
It's a scale. For people who work in DC or in that general close-in area, it's great to live in Arlington. I work in Tysons, so McLean is awesome. I figure for people who work near Dulles, Ashburn is pretty darned nice too. |
