I've been on it for three weeks and have lost 12 pounds!
I had a small steak for lunch with a side of broccoli for dinner a huge chicken Caesar salad hard to believe but it's true! I highly recommend trying it |
| What on earth does this have to do with sports & fitness? |
| Is it 2003 in your world, OP? |
| Lol. Congrats on your water loss? |
| It rocks until you gain it all back again, and then some, just like EVERY SINGLE OTHER PERSON I KNOW who did the diet. |
| Next up: "Snackwells Rocks!" |

I have known lots of people who lost weight on Atkins. But yep, EVERY SINGLE one gained the weight back, and often some additional. It blows my mind that people think eating a ridiculous amount of meat and dairy is better for them, than plants (carbs). The healthiest, leanest cultures on the planet eat minimal meat/dairy, and loads of carbs (including lots of rice). |
| Actually I lost 10 lbs of leftover baby weight on Atkins in 2002/03 and I never gained it back. Good for you OP! |
| Isn't Atkins low carb? |
Yup. Only Americans are obsessed with "low carb." Yet American are among the world's fattest people. We are so warped, screwed up, and disordered when it comes to food, diet, and nutrition. |
| I wish there was a diet and nutrition sub-forum. |
Yeah, but it's not the low carbers who are fat...it's the people who follow the USDA recommendations for 11 servings of grain. |
Grain doesn't make you fat. Processed carbs make you fat. |
| I love Atkins. I lost weight with it a few years ago and kept it off until I started having babies. As soon as this kid weans I'll do it again. If you think it's just meat and dairy, you don't know what you're talking about. After I finished the induction phase, I ate more vegetables than any other point in my life. |
