I posted about needing a strength training program. I really want to get back into shape but I know myself and am the type that needs guidance. Getting to classes is tough so I was hoping for a set out program. Has anyone used any of these apps with success? thoughts would be appreciated.

| I just started using Sworkit -- I think I heard about it on another thread on this board. I really like it--you choose what kind of workout you want (strength, cardio, yoga etc) and how long you want to exercise. Then you do a series of exercises for 30 seconds each. It tells you when to start and stop and a person demonstrates each move. No equipment needed. Some days I'll just do 10 mins of core exercises as part of my longer workout at the gym, or set the timer for 20 mins and make that my whole workout. It's really simple and good. |

I like Pocket Yoga a lot, but it's best if you have a background in yoga so you can build your practice.
My favorite workout app at the moment is Sworkit. You can out in what kind of exercise you'd like to do (strength, cardio, stretching) and how much time you have (5-60 minutes), and it'll give you a circuit with instructions. You can sync it to their Spotify playlists so you have music. |
