Does your son or daughter have ADHD?

Are they taking medication for it? My son is in High School and he doesn't take his medication anymore he only did in Elementary school.

Both have ADHD and both are on meds. One in high school and the other in elementary school.

how much MG? do they take and what piills? My son is Senior and Elementary school he took 5MG of Ritain in the AM and 8 mg or 1 and 1/2 pills in the afternoon.

Dc takes Straterra, which is a non-stimulant.

As a parent of an ADHD teen, I encourage other parents of younger children to continue to reevaluate your medicated kids. We started with meds, and realized after time that he had matured to a point that the meds were no longer necessary. You should try to avoid taking meds if possible!!

We do med checks with our doctor every 3 to 4 months. Thanks for your advice!

Adderall 30 mg XR (high schooler)

Adderall 20 mg XR and Strattera 40 mg (elementary schooler)

ADHD 13 yo DS. We did not need to medicate until he sarted MS last year. When he started changing classes and the academic pressures went up, he reached a point where he could not compensate.

Nephew took his meds all though high school. He couldn't concentrate without them. He's doing well in college however without them.

Yes, meds, made all the difference in the world. Diagnosed and started in HS.

Yes, no meds, but drinks coffee every morning and it seems to help. Rising 5th grader.
