I rarely go out for coffee, but if I do, Americano with room.

Tea. Iced if I've been running around in summer weather. Hot the rest of the year (and also in summer if I've been sitting too long in my overly air conditioned office).

From Starbucks - When I go in the morning, I always get a Grande black coffee, the darkest they have brewed. In the afternoon, I get a hot Oprah Chai (not the latte, just the hot tea).

I like cappuccinos, Americanos, and vanilla lattes. none of that skinny syrup nonsense, either

I always order an Americano and I hate it. I hate how dark Starbucks coffee is, the lack of flavored creamers, everything! I've ordered the flavored shots, but I'd need like 5 of them to make their coffee not so bitter. They also never leave enough room for creamer. Why can't I fill my own cup at Starbucks?

If I haven't had my morning cup yet (delivered bedside by my awesome DH), I order the biggest cup they have straight up. If it is later in the day, cappuccino. Sometimes, in summer, I'll get a frap.

But usually, I have my coffee at home with DH.

At Starbucks where the coffee is bitter and undrinkable: unsweetened iced tea.

Everywhere else on earth that sells coffee: unsweetened iced coffee to which I add the fattiest dairy they pack.

I always hated Starbucks for the same reason! The dark coffee with not enough room for cream ! Here's how I solved that problem: the blonde roast! Soooo good! And I tell them to leave plenty of room for cream. Last time she poured a small into a medium cup for me and it was perfect.

So to answer OP's question, I usually order a small hot coffee, but sometimes I want something different and I'll try the fancy drinks. I like frappucinos, lattes or white chocolate mocha. Flat white is good too.
