Need help asap. Open Gonal F for tomorrow

They gave me 450 iu and I need only 150. So do I keep the rest of 300 for next 2 days in the fridge? do I keep in the pen or in the vial. sorry very first time ever doing this, almost fainted when I did the needle tonight...

I've only ever had the pen so not sure I can help. I had several pens, used the prescribed amount, put it back in the fridge and when the first one was empty I opened the next one.

I think you just keep it in the fridge for the next day (but it has been a few years...). I'd email nurse to check and you should hear back in morning.

SG told me it's good for 30 days once opened.

I did Fridge. I think Lupron doesn't need to be refrigerated - I've made that mistake before.

OP I'm kinda confused if you have the pen or the multidose vials. According to the manufacturer, you can store either way for either type.

Pen: "Store the Gonal-f® RFF Pen refrigerated (2°-8°C/36°-46°F) until dispensed. Upon dispensing, the patient may store the pen refrigerated (2°-8°C/36°-46°F) until the expiration date, or at room temperature (20°-25°C/68°-77°F) for up to three months or until the expiration date, whichever occurs first. After the first injection, the pen may be stored refrigerated (2°-8°C/36°-46°F) or at room temperature (20°-25°C/68°-77°F) for up to 28 days. Protect from light. Do not freeze. Discard unused material after 28 days."

Vial: "After each use, the vial containing the Gonal-f® Multi-Dose liquid must be stored
away from light and may be stored refrigerated or at room temperature

I never kept mine in the fridge. You want to use all the medicine in each pen. I am not familiar with the vile form of Gonal-F (mine were always in the pen form). So for example, if I had 4 nights at 200, I would use 200 from each pen until I ran out (and then I'd use whatever was left in that pen and then the remainder from a new one).

Just to be safe I think I will call pharmacy and ask instead of 450 them to change vials to 75 iu, I can just use 2 at the time ( it's the same amount of $ and not sure why they gave 450 instead)

We used what we need from the vial and then use the remainder the next 2 days. We didn't refrigerate it either.

Also, if you are paying for this out of pocket yourself, there is a rebate from the manufacturer.
