Mild ones.

The Peanuts Movie

Scariest would the the new Peter Pan movie (I don't recall it being particularly scary but it was dark with lots of action, mor exciting that scary)

The Minions new flick

That second Transylvania/vampire movie. More funny than anything.

Don't remember the others so they are likely not notable in either direction.

I thought Pan seemed scary but my easily scared kids were fine. The good dinosaur, Peanuts movie, Transylvania were all harmless. And the Lava short, which might have been my favorite thing EVER!

Maybe the issue goes beyond the previews????

I am baffled by this post.

What are you baffled about? I'm 35 and I don't like scary, intense, violent movies. I also don't like their previews...It's not unusual. There are also times when I go see, say a romantic comedy and am horried at the previews (many R rated horror movies etc) or I've been horrified at Harry Potter previews (again horror previews)...it's not a terribly complicated thing.

I feel like those Pan previews have been going on for a year!

I think different theaters do different previews. I loved the lava short, but fyi it's loud and my 5 year old didn't like it. The guy volcano looked kind of scary to her and they shoot fire when they erupt. It's a love story and not supposed to be scary at all, but to a 5 year old that isnt used to movie theaters and doesn't understand that these were romantic volcanos, it was a bit much.

Our previews included the volcano short, which my kids and I loved. It's very sweet and poignant.

unless your child has a particular mental health issue, you are being completely ridiculous OP. You're hurting your child by sheltering him/her like this! This goes beyond the level of "reasonable-ness". Creating a country full of kids who are afraid of their own shadows....men with no balls....women with all kinds of neuroses!

NP here, what the heck is your child afraid of? This is strange.

My MIL gets freaked out by previews. She is neurotic and uptight. She stays miserable and misses the movie.
