What previews did you see when you saw Inside Out? My kid is scared of previews.

The loudness, the abrupt scene cuts and the lack of story continuity are meant to titillate, but they are often developmentally inappropriate for a child under age 7 or 8.
This is why so many excelllent kids TV shows are repetitive and move at a boringly glacial pace. Bad for us adults but good for our children! Anyone remember Mr. Rogers?

+1

Another + 1. My kid was very sensitive to noise, drama, etc, and it took a while (longer than it takes most kids) before DC was able to sit through previews or a movie in a theatre. Totally NT, bright, social, independent kid, and yes, sensitive. The idea that there might be a spectrum of normal is lost on these idiots, OP.

I thought the previews for Inside Out were tamer than the previews for Minions. Pan was a preview for both.

I can't believe how insensitive some people can be. Why they decided to post their unhelpful comments is really beyond me.

We usually call to ask a movie theater employee how long the previews are so we can arrive closer to the beginning of the movie. We also bring headphones and sit at the very back of the theater.
