Sister drugging mother

Anonymous
Please help - serious help only. Sister is drugging mother in order for mother to be committed to hospital. Anyone heard of such a thing? Sister also tried to take mothers cell phone. I texted sister if she did that, I would call elder services. Sister is trying to make it appear as if mother has dementia. Sister does not want mother living with her, this is her way of ridding herself of her. They are across country. I'd my only recourse to call elder services? Mother will not travel to me under current (drugged) conditions. I don't know who to ask.

What drugs?

I'd = is

Drugs for dementia. Mother is out of it. Sister won't divulge doctor or drugs.

This is too vague. Has a valid doctor described these drugs?

You're not there. Your sister is taking all the responsibility. Are you prepared to move your mom in with you?

Op again- I am distressed that sister willfully and won't only sought bad medical advice.

If you are this concerned, then fly out there, assess the situation and proceed from there. It might be calling adult protective services, it might be calling the police, and it might be getting your mom to fly back home with you.

Won't only= wontonly

I and relatives heard mother on phone. Sister has history of drunken tirades.

Why don't you offer for your mother to live with you?

Op again. Sister won't allow mother to see anyone.

None of this matters. You have to go out to your mom and find out what's going on. What are the meds? Talk with her doctor. You can't handle this from afar.

I need only respondents who are unbiased and familiar with both sides. Those who have been through it are familiar with certain ramifications I am not at liberty to spell out. Thank you for your anticipated understanding (unless you are the sister, of course!!!) I have no problem getting a lawyer if no other respondent chimes in.

Sounds to me that you need to get to your mother ASAP and possibly hire an attorney.
Seeking help on an anonymous forum is not going to yield the answers you need.

+1. You need to see your mom and then figure out what to do. No one on an anon forum can give you advice. Asking here is ridiculous. We don't know!
