That’s ridiculous. Everyone should be concerned that social media and the cancel culture apparently dictates who gets crucified by the court. Her crime is really no different than the others in the college scandal. If Felicity got two weeks, then that’s the ballpark for Lori. Violent criminals serve far less time than what Lori is facing, and that’s absurd. I think perhaps the best punishment here is leaving her with a serious criminal record that effectively results in her not being able to have a passport/access to traveling to foreign countries along with extensive probation that she must pay for. Make her wear an ankle monitor for a year. |
A. Lori's crimes involve far more money and more charges. B. Felicity's 2 week sentence was precisely because she pleaded GUILTY. That's how the court system works. Admit your guilt and get sentenced to lesser penalties. Lori refused to cop a plea so no she doesn't get what Felicity did. At this point with 3 separate charges against her there is zero possibility a jury or judge will find her not guilty on all three. She's looking at least 1 year's sentence at minimum thanks to her grandstanding and as much as 60 years if something damning comes out. |

Anyone advocating serious time for Aunt Becky should march their ass down to the local criminal courthouse for a real life lesson. Every freaking day violent criminal and drug dealers (who are an actual danger to society) are let go with a slap on the wrist and no jail time. Or head over to family court where it’s virtually impossible to keep your violent, abusive spouse from getting some custody.
The criminal justice system is garbage in this country and it would be complete bs for Lori to spend years in jail. |
You're talking local crimes versus federal crimes. Lesson to be learned - don't mess with the federal government or do anything illegal in multi-state jurisdiction. |
+100 Lori also took more affirmative steps to further her criminal activities. the crew photo shoot being the most damning. And Lori doesn’t get more sympathy for refusing a plea. That’s on her. I’m sure her Attorneys told her to take it. |
Prison isn’t only for dangerous criminals. I don’t think Martha Stewart is a dangerous criminal. And there’s a lot of nonviolent drug users in prison as well. Not sure why you think lori is some exception. |
I think this plays a part as well...Fleicity's kids seemed genuinely unaware of this; they hesitated to do anything with the second because she was so earnest they thought she might notice or would want to re-test. Lori and her girls? They were all in. And they are adults who could also be co-conspirators. Lori is going to have to take more of a hit if she wants to protect her girls. The mother who was taped calling her son an idiot who would never know? Her kid is probably fine. |
Breaking the law is a crime, even white-collar crime. Do the crime, do the time. You need to get over her being "Aunt Becky". That was a persona in a TV show. |
I say a $5M or more fine, but no prison because they aren’t dangerous. Hit them where they care the most- their pocketbooks. |
The email was sent to his accountant, and he didn’t hide what the money was for. It supports the defense. Sorry you don’t like it. They were offered a completely ridiculous plea. These are people of means, who aren’t just going to roll over. |
If you want to hit them where they care the most, put them in prison. That hits them in their vanity, pride, reputation and public image. Even the 2 week stint that Felicity Huffman served (she actually only served 11 days), was still a major hit. She's now a convicted felon, and the thing that most people will remember the most about her is that she went to prison. And Lori Loughlin is far more invested in her vanity and pride than Huffman was. Even 2 weeks in the "Club Fed" prison where Huffman served is likely to be a crushing blow to Loughlin's vanity. Since she was already a C-lister to begin with, this would also probably effectively end her Hollywood career. It's far harder to convey that fresh face wholesomeness that was pretty much the only thing that got her hired, when people associate you with being a major cheat, felon and convict. |

Felicity Huffman will be back at the golden globes next year, and people will forget that she went to jail.
The public has a really short memory. |
Wrong. She’ll be divorced and you’ll never see her on a screen again. |
No one else “does the time.” |
You're really mean..and wrong. And probably jealous. |
