My XDH did something similar with the wife of a friend. They were soccer coaches fir our kids team. We are not as wealthy but very comfortable. When it all blew up, her husband and I met to discus how to handle with our children as well as kids on team and parents

Both of us let the others go, were not nasty about children or custody (the husband and I got custody). My career took off after divorce and my husband moved far away with new wife and both were mostly out if their children's lives.

Four years later both families are doing well and oldest child from each family applying to good colleges. The husband is dating but I am not. I prefer to be with my kids until they are out of house

My X and his AP have had several failed business ventures and used all funds from divorce. They are addicted to opioids and look terrible. Karma got them and I only care because of my kids. Their paternal grandparents are on their lives and have been wonderful.

This couple would have been smarter to try and stay together. If it couldn't be done stayed married, but do what the Clintons have done. Date if need be but Keep the wealth within the family away from outsiders, thereby protecting the kids. Plus Jeff should definitely get a vasectomy. Too many selfish parents imo. I hope they rethink this divorce especially after this predator outed him.

I haven't read this whole thread - but, ya know, good on him for getting together with someone who is age appropriate.

I dunno. Leaving your wife for someone who's almost 50 seems very nearly virtuous. And given *all* the complaints we read on the boards here - you can hardly fault someone for falling for someone who seems alive.

Not saying cheating is great - though who knows what the family's arrangements were. Again: not a fan of cheating. But if you are going to do it, thumbs up for doing it with someone who seems alive and is age appropriate.

He will regret debasing himself and losing the respect of his children. His oldest kid is just entering his teenage years - it’s extremely hard to go back to school with all of this playing out in the media. The other three kids will read all the gory details when they get older.

Bezos has fundamentally changed - in an unhealthy manner - his children’s lives, their relationships with their parents, and their own views on romance/marriage that will impact their future relationships.
