My only guess is the divorce/separation/Christine leaving, but they had already previewed that the week prior, or announced it outright. The final episode was the least interesting / revealing of the final episodes.

If she's indeed left her house and is living in a trailer -- with all the kids that are still at home??? -- she'll probably eventually just roam around among all the kids and grandkids and use it as her personal retreat in their driveways.
