Yeah defend your family with a a bow and arrow. |
It is more likely your family is harmed by its own gun either via an accidental shooting or suicide attempt, than an intruder. |
In state flagship school is not elite |
Army? |
How often are you needing to "defend" your family? Is this some made up hero fantasy you have? Aren't there other more productive ways you can help your family? |

Someone earlier mentioned that the POI had a connection to Brown. The paragraph below from the Washington Post seems to bear that out. It quotes a neighbor in the neighborhood where the POI grew up.
“Ehlers said he did not know Benjamin Erickson well because his children were in different social circles, but said he would say hello when he saw Ehlers in the neighborhood. Ehlers said he heard Erickson was going to Brown but did not know what he was studying.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2025/12/14/brown-university-shooting-suspect/ |
But I would think Brown would know if he was a student there. They put out he wasn’t |
| He had claimed on LinkedIn to be a Fall 2025 transfer after serving, but school saying not a student or current student (forget exact words), so unknown what happened if he true. |
| Maybe he got rejected and that’s his motive to kill Brown students. |
| Interesting info regarding shooter's background. https://ktvz.com/news/national-world/cnn-national/2025/12/14/person-of-interest-in-brown-university-shooting-served-in-army-worked-at-arlington-national-cemetery/ |
Pretty sad. I wonder what happened to him- seems so normal and promising |
Be prepared. It's like having insurance, but get trained too. |
I think he might have had delusions. He told people he was studying at Brown in 2025, but he wasn’t. Not enrolled. He was living in DC. |
You think having guns is like having car or home insurance? Well, at least gun ownership could come with licensing, insurance, inspection, registration, taxes, and all the similar requirements. Since they're similar and all, according to you. |
