Ozempic? Just heard today that it makes food stay in the stomach forever. Nice, huh? Solve one disaster while you create another disaster. Welcome to the AMA. |
No, Ozempic does not make food stay in your stomach forever. Wherever you heard that, whatever site you read that on, turn it off and stop going there, because it's false and is obviously not a good source of info. Honestly, I think 99% of the problems in this country right now go back to people being exposed to too much bad info and lacking the critical thinking skills and the discipline to check and verify before trusting. |
Pete Marocco has ordered everyone back to the US by Friday.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/usaid-missions-overseas-ordered-shutdown-by-friday/ Will this stand? |
The good programs will likely continue. This should have been cleaned up long, long ago. We've known that a lot of the money in some of these extremely poor countries often does not get where it is intended. And, it appears much of the dollars have been going to contractors here in the US. |
Neither Trump, Musk, Rubio, nor Marocoo are going to "clean up" USAID. They are shutting it down, closing programs. Finis. |
Right. How’s his $25.5 billion from the tax payer pocket working out for him? |
If you are going to go to war with Russia, then you have to have an alternative means of getting your astronauts down from the International Space Station. |
It's the only solution. The corruption, fraud, waste and abuse of the tax payer by democrats through USAID is too widespread. |
I'm the poster who you are replying to. I never worked for USAID or our federal government. In fact, I lobbied to get the Leahy law passed! I met Senator Leahy and let him know directly how much I appreciated his work. But, thanks for the lecture! I've fought for democracy for many years. And I care about ours. Clearly you don't. Either you are not American or you just don't get why this situation is not business as usual. |
Kind of like during Covid when we were all told that the vaccine prevented illness. And when people trusted the government officials who told them that otherwise healthy kids/college students needed the Covid vaccine in order to attend school even though there was ZERO scientific data to back that up? Yeah, lots of bad information out there and some of it comes from the US government. |
