They have a choice not to play. It looks like a waste of a weekend

Sitting out of a tournament and pouting about bracket placement would be a waste of a weekend. Instead, girls got to improve chemistry, try different formations/positions, build confidence, pick up some highlight clips and just enjoy playing the beautiful game.

The tournament placed them based on their dismal performance from last year and.Knowing this group of parents, there was very likley an effort to move up to the second bracket at least. That effort obviously failed. So they just played because what else were they supposed to do. None of the parents are here heralding their great victory. At least next year they'll be in the second bracket. But any "confidence" built by playing RL teams is false confidence so it was probably a waste of a weekend except for the "highlight clips" against RL teams--or will you not mentioned that in your insta post.

Wow, you sound a bit triggered by some girls and their families enjoying a weekend of soccer!

A 7-0 game was not a beautiful game to watch.

At U17, FVU didn't even bother to play their game against MYS Green/RL on Monday. I guess they decided it wasn't worth their time.

Only one 2011 FVU game was against an RL team. Two were against GA.

Yes the HC of RL knows it is not worth for his team to get up at 8am to get a beat down on a Monday. Maybe he had to work on Monday

They're also a part of the 'Union', maybe figured if wasn't worth it. Why play the A team vs the B team.

McLean ECNL RL is not part of Union. The club might want you to think that. You think they will move the ECNL RL player up to Union roster? I don't think that Union pick up any players from RL in the past few years.

He did to protect the Brave's girls

And his reputation.

MV has a reputation?

MV is on cloud nine with the wins over the weekend. 08G Union will get their butt kick this weekend.

You left out the DPL team in your effort to make it sound better.

That's because McLean has not been part of Onion until now. McLean will now be the farm team for Onion especially on the girls side.

How has McLean not been part of Union until now? "Union" was McLean/SYC and now it is McLean/Vienna/BRYC.

Union or not, how many clubs actually move players up from RL each year? one or two across the whole club? sadly, most new NL players are brought in from outside the club

Union NL teams have like 25 kids as it is. There would be a riot if they ever moved a kid up from RL. The better indication of a link is how often NL kids are moving down to play RL with member clubs, and how receptive member RL clubs are to kicking up those players.
