She had major abdominal surgery, recovered completely after 3 months (enough to wear skinny jeans for that video around Mothering Day), and then had a face lift. The math here isn’t hard.

Pretty sure no surgeon is going to do a major cosmetic surgery on someone immunosuppressed and actively undergoing chemotherapy

You must not know many plastic surgeons. They don’t have many red lines. They don’t care about the physical or mental health of the patient so long as they can pay in full and the procedure won’t cause patient to die

The problem is that when you are on chemotherapy, your body can’t heal like it normally does. So yes, plastic surgeons wouldn’t do a facelift on a chemo patient because the incisions literally wouldn’t heal.

Yep, chemo kills your immune system.

But she’s been seen “out and about” in Norfolk for the past few weeks, and then today obviously she was out. Her doctors wouldn’t let her do any of this if her immune system were a problem. So it seems like her immune system is OK.

I’m happy you have zero experience dealing with chemo. My husband was stage 4. He did limited things because there are a few days between treatment where he felt better. However, and here’s the big thing. The only way to possibly save him was surgery. The oncologist had to explain to us, several times, why it could not happen during chemo. You cannot have surgery while actively receiving chemo. I pray you do not become educated like my now deceased husband and I did. I was so adamant, I asked him to explain it to me like I was 10. My DH was a medical doctor too, and he accepted his fate, but I needed to understand. Have some grace.

I'm so sorry about your husband. I've had cancer too and it's awful physically and psychologically.

But the fact that Kate is out in public, today if not other times, means she's no longer immuno-compromised. Her doctors wouldn't let her venture out if she was.

I too think she had cancer. But I also agree she had facial work. The two are not mutually exclusive.

You seriously cannot believe she could recover from a facelift while having chemo; with more months of treatment ahead. Ya’ll are getting crazy or have never experienced being with someone going through chemo.

The “facelift” trolls are mentally unwell - as are the “eating disorder” trolls. I mean, seriously?? So many low-IQ morons come out of the woodwork whenever KM is discussed.

I think she had a very low stage cancer and also got a face-lift sometime in the past few months. Also, that video in the garden came out not too many months ago--she looks totally different now. That is suspicious

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but it sounds like you don’t know much about cancer staging, tumor profiles, gene mutations and adjuvant chemotherapy. There’s absolutely no way to deduce what stage cancer she has, based on the information we know.

I think she had a low stage cancer and snuck in a facelift in the past few months. Happy to repeat it a third time if need be.

What is a “low stage cancer”?

Apparently one that is bad enough to put you in a coma but also really rejuvenates you and is fake but you're also dead because your husband is having an affair due to your eating disorder.

I laughed out loud. The theories really are unreal.

+1
So entertaining though! The trolls are really doing their very best.

Oh, well since a random anonymous internet poster says so, it must be true.

Don't take DCUM's word for it. Check out any British paper. In fact KP said she's out and about, and you think they're God's word incarnate, right?

I maintain she has cancer and is receiving world class treatment for it and is in a loving relationship with her husband. I suspect he has fallen deeper in love with her because of how she had handled this. Her children revere her more because of how she handled this, and that might not become apparent until they’re adults.
Not everything in the royal family has to have drama attached to it.
She knows her role and plays it perfectly.

I agree. She’s a human being with a family who loves her. Cancer is scary af, and I truly feel sorry for her. I wish posters here would just show some class and grace. Why always presume the worst.

Relax, Kate doesn't read DCUM, the moderator has weighed in on that. As far as class and grace go, I don't think it involves off-the-wall speculation about William's supposedly deeper love for Kate. It especially doesn't involve insulting and trolling anyone who disagrees with your take that she's the perfect princess of your fantasies. People with class and grace conduct themselves as adults, as you point out.

We all feel sorry for Kate and are glad to see her back. There are some legitimate questions about things like her health and weight.

DP. Then you agree that those spinning up the most idiotic scenarios possible are not "conducting themselves as adults." And there are no legitimate "questions" about her health and weight. She has cancer and is being treated for it. The end.

No, according to you it's all lies. So why would anyone believe it? Certainly you wouldn't.

I'm not a royalist but have nothing against Princess Catherine. I hope she recovers and has a long healthy life.

In the most recent photos she is exceptionally thin but also her face looks considerably younger than the photos from before her illness. I imagine that she has the very best care. But I do know that the faces of family and friends who've suffered cancer have not looked better after their diagnoses. Maybe that is the difference between rich and less rich. But maybe not.

Agree with all of this, including the careful phrasing at the end.

Who cares if she had work done on her face? I don't get the big deal.

What explains the complete inability of Kate's ardent fantasists to understand that she had the eating disorder BEFORE the operation and cancer. The cancer merely made her even thinner because she had so little to start with.

It's like DCUM demands Kate starve herself for their perfect-princess fantasies.

DP. So you what, are defending Kate against supporters because they're somehow keeping her in a negative health space? What is it you're looking for?

I guess if you put it in the context of all the past charges that she's workshy and using her privilege to avoid returning to work. Personally, I'm OK with just assuming that she's using the time off to recover mentally from her cancer scare. The rest of us can't take 6 months off and get work done on our faces in the process, but she can, and maybe it makes her feel better after said cancer scare, and the world is just like that.

If in fact she had work done, which I don't know.

Because she didn't? Would you like people to insist you had work on your face when you actually did not? Didn't think so.

Bingo. Eating disorders don't occur in a vacuum. They occur because the public expects super-human traits from public figures like Kate.

Oh.

Both sides in this debate have zero proof. Including you, with your argument that some cancer patients look better during chemo than before.

Not sure how you think arguing with people helps. She’s not reading this and many think you sound deranged by droning on and on. People won’t stop talking about her so maybe just take a step back and find a new hobby.

The people slobbering about her slim physique are the ones who need to take a step back and find a new hobby.
