MIT, Stanford, Chicago, Northwestern, Williams, Amherst, Swarthmore, Pomona, Harvey Mudd, Cal Tech, Duke.
Semi-elite: Cal, UCLA, Michigan, Georgetown, JHU, Carnegie Mellon, Emory, Vandy |
| What about UVA, Tufts, Wake and/or smaller liberal arts e.g., Middlebury? |
| Pomona, Washington U in St. Louis, Tufts. |
| OxBridge |
| St. Andrews |
| Howard, Morehouse and Spelman |
| The "elites" on this board would be anywhere that you, your DH or your kids attended. |
Northwester, Swarthmore, Pomona, Duke? I don't think so. |
Swat is a peer to williams and amherst - aws are clearly the top 3 lac's and elite. Pomona is the strongest LAC in the west and the toughest one to get into in the country. Northwestern and Duke are peers to Penn in pretty much everything minus Wharton. |

Agree with much of above and would add USMA, USNA, and USAFA. They are in the top ten to twenty of many of the rankings and they are very selective.
