Dishwasher recommendations?

I'm looking at a Bosch 800 plus series. Anyone have experience with this model or similar ones they could share? Or other recommendations?

I hate my Bosch. While it's quiet and gets things clean, my plastic is always sopping wet, and it just doesn't for my Anerican size dishes. There is no place to stack bowls, and the silverware caddy is ridiculously small.
Also, we've had it 5 years, and we've already had to replace the computer which was $650.

I love my Bosch so much. I have a Miele now and wish I could rip it out and out the Bosch back.

Re: the wet dishes, you have to use drying agent with most of the high efficiency dishwashers, including both Bosch and Miele.

If you haven't bought a new dishwasher in a while, you're in for a surprise. I bought a Kitchenaid last year, and I really dislike it. It takes FOREVER to run, doesn't clean very well, and barely dries the dishes (even using JetDry). But I don't know that any of the other HE dishwashers would be any better.

Our plastic has been sopping wet in every dishwasher since I started having kids and using plastic. Must be a feature.

We had that problem too. We ended up replacing it with a Miele which we've had for 7 years now with no problems.

The plastic is still wet in the Miele - I've tried to transition to more glass storage to avoid the problem. I guess plastic doesn't get hot enough to dry the water off?

I have a Bosch 800 series. Love it. The third rack (top rack) is really convenient for small items. Most energy efficient washer these days will result in wet dishes since they use less heat, I think.

There have been a lot of dishwasher threads and it always seems like 50% of people had an amazing experience with a Bosch and a terrible experience with a Miele, and the other 50% had exactly the opposite. Kind of highlights that individual mileage may vary.

But for the record, I'm in camp "Bosch awesome, Miele awful."

I have a kichenaide that I bought about 7 years ago and it's starting to get louder also have had issues with the soap dispenser opening during the cycle. Spent about $800 on it.
Parents have a bosh that was around $1400 2 years ago and it's been a huge pain. They've already had a repairman out 3x and counting.

Don't get a Samsung.

We like our Kitchenaid.

What about F&P dishwasher drawers? I would love to get those, but we will get a free Bosch with our range. Not OP, just curious. Gardenweb could be helpful, OP.

I have the 800+. It's my third Bosch and I LOVE it, especially the silverware rack. F&P drawers get terrible ratings from Consumer Reports. I use one regularly at a place info on vacation and haven't had any problems, but it holds less than what half of a regular dishwasher does.

I love Bosch. We had a 500 series in my old house and it was great. Use jet dry and the tablets by the same brand and your Bosch should dry the plastics. Except for the storage containers and lids with lips. Forget it. Those will never dry.
