Political Discussion
OMFG where do they say that in the CNN article? Did you even read it? Copy and paste your evidence. |

I didn’t know who Blinken was until Biden nominated him to be Sec of State. But I liked what I saw in his testimony on the Hill and was prepared to be impressed (I think our Sec of State should be someone who is a foreign policy specialist rather than a politician like Kerry or HRC).
But he has really messed up on this whole Gaza war. He put himself out there by identifying with the Israelis too much. He should have tried to appear more neutral (even if his policies were exactly the same). He annoys me by appearing unreasonably biased in favor of Israel and I am not Muslim or Palestinian. I can’t imagine that they think of him as anything but an extension of Bibi. It’s amazing how poorly he has performed. Just appearing to care a little bit about the damage caused by Israel could have gone such a long way even if the US continued to be a strong and stalwart ally of Israel. |
“Luis Rodriguez, interim superintendent of Yonkers Public Schools, told CNN as of Monday afternoon, the investigation had found someone said “Free Palestine.” Adults who were present did not report hearing anything else” https://www.yahoo.com/news/someone-allegedly-said-free-palestine-231448965.html I really do get how easy it is to believe the first version of a story. No one— On either side of this issue— is completely immune. But the key is to recognize when we’ve let that impulse run away with us and reassess with more information. |
Let's start with the bloody headline: Someone allegedly said ‘Free Palestine’ during the high school basketball game that led to coach and player’s dismissal And then let's proceed to the body of the article: Luis Rodriguez, interim superintendent of Yonkers Public Schools, told CNN as of Monday afternoon, the investigation had found someone said “Free Palestine.” Adults who were present did not report hearing anything else, but officials probing the incident are still talking to others who were at the game, he said. There is no evidence anything was chanted, he added. Someone said "Free Palestine". Adults who were present did not report hearing anything else. Officials are still probing the incident. There is no evidence anything was chanted. How bad are you when it comes to debate? I just literally flayed you up one side and down the other, citing the primary source of EXACTLY what I've said all along, and yet I'm near certain you're going to be reckless enough to come back here for another walloping. Look, I'm sure your strategy is to deflect from the focus of the thread, which is the conduct of the monstrous apartheid movement you support, but it's getting old for even the people who know what you're up to. Go plagiarize or extrajudicially murder or live on U.S. welfare somewhere else, clown. |
Reasonable. Still going to get the "Let me tell you what you REALLY think, you anti-semite bastard!" once over ... |
|
I really feel like this should be added to the post immediately above, because a real person with a real career is being targeted here:
Luis Rodriguez, interim superintendent of Yonkers Public Schools, told CNN as of Monday afternoon, the investigation had found someone said “Free Palestine.” Adults who were present did not report hearing anything else, but officials probing the incident are still talking to others who were at the game, he said. There is no evidence anything was chanted, he added. The separation of the coach was mutual and “in no way infers that the coach participated condoned, acquiesced in any (antisemitic) behavior,” Rodriguez said. Officials have not identified the coach or the player who were dismissed. |
A war with Hezbollah would be much more serious than the one with Hamas. Everyone in northern Israel and southern Lebanon would have to evacuate. Hezbollah - an Iranian proxy army - is much stronger than Hamas. It'd be a difficult war. I don't think most Israelis want a two front war. I'm sure the IDF doesn't want it. But you never know about Netanyahu and the hard right settlers in the government. A lot depends on Hezbollah and whether they want to engage. Presently, it's mostly nuisance. It's up to Tehran. Israel has air power though. So the end result is a foregone conclusion. But it would be a miserable slog, and people in Lebanon certainly don't want it either. |
Are you done getting battered into oblivion? Like most things in you life, I'd wager, you're lost and clueless as to reality. Someone, get this fool a map already. |
Blinken is doing the best he can and is the adult in the room . It’s certainly not Bibi or Biden . Mahmoud Abbas and Sisi are not effective either . I know it breaks US policy or whatever but it would suit the US to actually speak to Hamas. It’s hard to negotiate with someone you refuse to talk to. Qatar is not going to play hardball with Hamas, but the US is . Talking through third parties only is not effective |
Hezbollah has said they don’t want a war with Israel. Israel is the one that wants war with Lebanon . Not all of Israel but Bibi’s cronies for sure. It is Deja vu of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. If you can’t finish the war on front 1,why open another battlefield? It is foolish and Blinken is trying to talk Israel out of it. There will also be a humanitarian crisis of refugees from Southern Lebanon and Northern Israel who would have to move and be resettled elsewhere . That can be very bad and in fact, a gift to Hamas in Gaza who will use the opportunity of a distracted Israel |
Agreed. In all likelihood, the only person that heard it was the recipient in the heat of the game. The person who said it said it directly to her. Why would anyone else have heard her say it? With all the shouting and cheering going on. Why would she lie? My niece goes to that school and it absolutely happened! You people are ugly. Twisting all kinds of facts around to suit your narratives. |
Yes, but we've all seen what's happened to Gaza and the Palestinians there. The question is do the men that make up Hezbollah march to Iran's drum? They know what's going to happen if they invade Israel. They will die. Their families will suffer greatly. The land they control will be turned into ruins. Just like Hamas and Gaza. And Jordan, Syria, Egypt, and the rest of Lebanon will certainly not help them. Rationally, I think things stay the way they are on the northern border. Some shelling every day but nothing serious. But not everyone is very rational in that part of the world. |
Nope, you still haven’t copied and pasted it from the CNN article you have been citing. Probably because you are a dimwit. |
What about the response @ 01/09/2024 18:35? Confused how this dimwit continues to pummel you into oblivion, and yet you keep showing up to embarrass yourself? Are you a settler, or just congenitally slow? |
