Gaza War, Part 3

Anonymous

Instead of arguing about whether or not journalists are being executed as war crimes by IDF in violation of International Law , expose how the IDF gets their data, their location and learns who their children are: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_8200

Here is a list of other Cyber warfare companies ( many operating in USA ) . Each and every one must be investigated for their role in helping to stalk, harass , threaten and , in case of Jamal K. -facilitate the killing of- and possibly many Journalists in GAZA, in my opinion.

For example, NSO was founded by a former Unit 8200 member , and that company was found to have hacked WASH Post Journalists wife's iPhone in weeks before he was lured to Turkey and executed by Saudis.

But please don’t say there has been no increase in antisemitism. The ugliness is everywhere. Including in Yonkers NY where a Jewish HS ( The Leffell School) basketball team was playing Roosevelt HS.

They had to stop the game because the players on Roosevelt’s team were roughing them up and playing violently. They also shouted antisemitic slurs.

It seems that one of the slurs they shouted was “Free Palestine” during the game, while another one was “I’m pro-Hamas you f%#^*ing Jew”. Let’s just see if they suffer any consequences.

I am sure there is an increase in antisemitism. The behavior at the basketball game is horrible, especially roughing up other players. "Free Palestine" is not antisemitic (one can be sympathetic to Palestinians' political aspirations without having any animosity toward Jews), but the other statement you mention is repugnant. Nobody should say that, and I hope the players will be disciplined.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/08/us/new-york-high-school-basketball-investigation-antisemitic-comment/index.html

Free Palestine is not, nor will it ever be, an anti-semitic remark.

And yet a coach and a player suffered IMMEDIATE and SERIOUS consequences - which is exactly what happens EVERY TIME anyone dares to criticize the sacred cow / the 21st century Voldemort / whatever.

This douchenozzle PP jazz hands'd away the FACT of a 6 year old kid being savagely slaughtered in a murderous act of Islamophobia, the FACT of three young men being sprayed with bullets in another murderous act of Islamophobia (one of them now paralyzed), the FACT of a deranged Jewish school teacher threatening to behead a student in yet another act of Islamophobic violence ... because some kids were scared of loud noises on library doors that one time. They asserted that certain language was used (there's no evidence of that, apparently), they asserted that the other team was "roughed up" (there's no evidence of that, apparently). All because Hasbara, and one group's seemingly never-ending campaign to slander critics of Israel and cast itself as victims.

Sincerely, why? Why do we have to deal with this insanity?

You omitted the part where the suspended basketball player said to the Jewish players “you fing Jew”. What does a teenage girl basketball player have to do with the conflict? All didn’t mention how the team tried to rough up the Jewish basketball team. Well deserved firing and suspension.

What doIvy League presidents have to do with the current conflict?

So it’s ok to call teenage girls “fking” Jews now? Got it, pos.

Did you read the latest update. The student who wrote the story that slurs were used has been unveiled as a liar by the adults who were there, on both sides. Sad, but par.

There’s no latest update. But you want to drag teenage girls and justify calling them fing Jews, way to show your antisemitism. Stop making stuff up.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/01/08/us/new-york-high-school-basketball-investigation-antisemitic-comment/index.html

It may turn out that more was said and/or done, but as it stands, it’s looking like Robin Bosworth is a liar, and that she fabricated (or at least greatly embellished) what went down.

I read the cnn article. The harassment was bad enough the game was cut half way. And I wonder how you would feel if someone just yelled 9/11 at a brown sports team or China fly at an Asian team. It’s racist then and it’s racist in this case even if the only thing said was free Palestine’s stop defending the indefensible.

The game was ended after the third quarter. Unfortunately, Ms. Bosworth and her teammates are learning a hard lesson that violent oppression has consequences, and sometimes innocents are caught up in the crosshairs. I mean, that's what we're told the loved ones of the tens of thousands of innocent Palestinians being blown to smithereens in Gaza should do, right? Just accept it and stop complaining ...

That said, it's looking like fabrications may have been published by Ms. Bosworth. If so, I have a hell of a bigger problem with THAT than I do anyone saying Free Palestine in any context. And why shouldn't I? If you're against freedom for the Palestinian people, you are an enemy of peace and human rights. I don't support liars and I definitely don't support enemies of peace and human rights, whether it's Israel or Hamas or Robin Bosworth herself. If it turns out she's telling the truth, serious consequences have already been doled out. But if it turns out she fabricated or embellished what occurred, she should be suspended from her school for the same period of time that the opposing team's player was suspended. Wanna bet how little consequence she will face if found to have lied?

So you are justifying bullying Jewish girls for what you perceive are Israel’s actions. And this is not anti semitism?
You raging anti semite.

Free Palestine and criticisms of Israel’s actions that are more than deserving of criticism (i.e., the entire body of their actions toward the indigenous people of the Middle East over the past 75 years) will NEVER amount to anti-semitism, no matter how hard you try to keep yourself in the limelight as the professional victim class. I’ll criticize Israel and Hamas all I want, and you can pound sand.

Sure but why are you yelling at this at non Israeli teenage girls playing a basketball game just because they are Jewish?

According to the updated story on CNN, one person said “Free Palestine”. One person. The coach was discharged and a player was suspended. Apologies were issued. Apparently for saying “Free Palestine”, which is an appeal that every compassionate human being should support. After all, the alternative is oppression, brutal subjugation, and slavery.

If those continue to be the facts, I’d say far more than enough has already been done. So unless and until the investigation finds more, there’s nothing left to say at this point.

However, with the demonstrated blind, unconditional, and frankly rabid support of Israel by a large portion of Jews in America, it’s not too hard to imagine hostilities toward that segment for both their actions and the actions of the state-sponsored terrorism that they support with outspoken zeal. What’s happening in the Middle East is reprehensible.

If you support the acts of any of the bad actors (including and perhaps especially Israel), you’re part of the problem. And people may yell at you. It’s the price of oppression, I guess.

That’s not an updated story. That is cnn’s version of the story. The allegations are that the girl said “I support Hamas, you fing jew”. And that the Jewish team was being roughed up on the court. Until the facts are out you don’t have a leg to stand on. And the fact that they did review video and decide to suspend the girl speaks volunteers.

https://www.thenation.com/article/society/there-is-no-space-in-the-sports-world-to-call-for-a-free-palestine/

And THAT is why an example had to be made of the coach and player - to satisfy this sick vengeful bloodlust that must be sated whenever anyone dares to criticize the sacred cow. It had nothing to do with the actual events of the game, we've been told by a major international news media outlet. I choose to believe them over a student athlete who is claiming otherwise.

So yeah, it IS an updated story. And thus far, nothing otherwise has emerged that justified these actions. If / when anything does, the topic can be re-visited. But for now, "Free Palestine" is a perfectly acceptable way for one to exercise their 1A rights to oppose oppression, brutal subjugation, and slavery. Hypocritical thugs like Ackman can go after them all they want, but they are eventually going to run out of dry powder on this issue.

I think it’s interesting how quickly the school said the coach wasn’t engaged in any antisemitic behavior, or harboring, or tolerating any. I guess the wrongful termination suit already started?

On his Middle East trip, and his meetings in Saudi Arabia and othe countries, Sec. Blinken has managed to get security insurance's for Israel as long as it leads to an Independent Palestinian State. Israel has now agreed to let UN monitors into Gaza to assess the city to allow Palestinians back home into the North. Israel has also said it will not displace Palestinians outside of Gaza.

Diplomacy works. This is a hell of a lot more than any GOP president would get for the Palestinians.

Citation needed. All of this sounds really optimistic but “Israel allows UN monitors and agrees two state solution” seems like there may be some over promising.

Ok now looking at actual reporting:

Israel is carrying out another war crime in plain sight:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/gazans-can-return-home-when-you-release-more-hostages-israel-tells-hamas/ar-AA1mH7st

(As the article says, international law requires the return of civilians to their homes when fighting ceases. What Israel is doing is called “collective punishment” which is a war crime)

Meanwhile your “UN Monitors” is one team on the ground maybe.

“Security Insurance” is the Saudi’s saying they won’t recognize Israel without a state for Palestine. In other words the Saudis are now looking at the U.S. and saying “do better”

Yeah, diplomacy works. I wish the Israelis would have tried it.

This is nothing but spin. No one including Europe, Arabs state, etc are flipping the bill for Israel(and Blinken’s) war against the Palestinians. All the countries in the region are tired of the building up the Palestinian infrastructure only to have it repeatedly destroyed by Israel with US help.

There is nothing to return to in Gaza. Nothing. Everything is leveled, no hospitals, no sewage, fresh water, electricity, etc. So glad Blinken has agreed to let Israel walk away from the mess and move on to Hezbollah.
Anonymous
Blinken doesn’t want Israel in Lebanon. A US expert assessment says that Israel would lose if it goes to war with Hezbollah . Blinker is trying to convince Netanyahu not to go to Lebanon

According to the WP, in private conversations, the White House warned Israel against escalation in Lebanon as officials fear the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) may struggle to succeed due to "its military assets and resources would be spread too thin given the conflict in Gaza," the report cited two people familiar with a new secret assessment from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).

Officials fear that a full-scale conflict between Israel and Lebanon would surpass the bloodshed of the 2006 Israel-Lebanon war on account of Hezbollah's substantially larger arsenal of long-range and precision weaponry," read the report based on interviews with over a dozen of administration officials and diplomats.

Bilal Saab, a Lebanon expert at the Middle East Institute, a Washington think tank, cited by the article, said that "the number of casualties in Lebanon could be anywhere from 300,000 to 500,000 and entail a massive evacuation of all of northern Israel."

Biden's administration appears alarmed that Hezbollah could strike deeper into Israeli territory than before, "hitting sensitive targets like petrochemical plants and nuclear reactors, and Iran may activate militias across the region."

The CNN article literally says the only thing the adults present confirmed was said was Free Palestine. That’s who they were interviewing.

It’s Ok to admit you were wrong on this one. There’s a lot of that in this issue where people get attached to the first version of something they hear and then can’t get unstuck.

So yeah, it IS an updated story. And thus far, nothing otherwise has emerged that justified these actions. If / when anything does, the topic can be re-visited. Hypocritical thugs like Ackman can go after them all they want, but they are eventually going to run out of dry powder on this issue.

Where's the beef? They also described "one person saying Free Palestine", which any reasonable person who conclude involved their review of evidence from ALL OF THOSE GAME OFFICIALS, PLAYERS, AND COACHES. So yeah, you're wrong. Again. It's a pattern.

Anonymous wrote:On his Middle East trip, and his meetings in Saudi Arabia and othe countries, Sec.

Israeli officials will tell Secretary of State Tony Blinken on Tuesday that Israel won't allow Palestinians to return to northern Gaza if Hamas doesn't agree to release more hostages, according to two senior Israeli officials.

The big picture: Making progress toward the return of Palestinians to their homes and ensuring they are not forcibly displaced from Gaza is one of the goals of Blinken's talks in Israel this week.

The Biden administration has expressed concerns over recent statements from some radical right-wing Israeli ministers who have called for Palestinians to be driven out of the Strip.
What they're saying: "Palestinian civilians must be able to return home as soon as conditions allow," Blinken said on Sunday in a press conference with the Qatari prime minister in Doha.

"They cannot and they must not be pressed to leave Gaza," he stressed.
Behind the scenes: The Israeli sources told Axios that while Israel doesn't in principle oppose allowing Palestinians to return to northern Gaza, officials will tell Blinken such a move needs to be part of a new hostage deal.

"We are not going to allow Palestinians to go back to their homes in northern Gaza if there is no progress with the release of hostages," one senior Israeli official said.
Israeli negotiators who are working on the issue believe the return of Palestinians to northern Gaza is significant leverage that Israel doesn't want to give up as it tries to secure a new hostage deal, a second Israeli official said.
"There are Israeli and American hostages that are still held in Gaza. We think we will know within a few weeks whether a new deal to release them is possible or not," the second official said.
The Israeli Ministry of Defense declined to comment.
Driving the news: IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari said on Monday that the Israeli military is in the process of transitioning from high-intensity operations in most of the Gaza Strip to low-intensity operations. This means there will be fewer ground forces inside the enclave and fewer air strikes, especially in Gaza City and in the northern Gaza Strip.

High-intensity fighting is expected to continue in the southern city of Khan Younes where the IDF is still searching for Hamas leaders who Israel believes are hiding in the tunnels.
Zoom out: Blinken said on Sunday that the IDF's transition to a lower-intensity phase of its military operation will allow the UN to evaluate what needs to be done to allow displaced Palestinians to return to the north.

A senior Israeli official said both Israel and the U.S. understand that a return to the north will not happen in the short term because fighting continues in some areas and due to the conditions.
But Israeli officials are expected to tell Blinken they are ready to start the planning process with the U.S. and the UN for a future return of Palestinians to their homes, if possible, or to shelters established by international organizations, the official said.

https://www.axios.com/2024/01/08/israel-hamas-gaza-hostages-blinken-palestinians

lol the Israel are dictating to Blinken. I wonder if Blinken has to run and get coffee for Bibi when the adults in the room start to talk?

They don't need to say LITERALLY. They said one person said it. That's enough to conclude that they didn't hear from any witnesses (yet, anyway) that more than one person said that, or anything else that was alleged by Lady Bosworth.

Blah blah blah. Truth is the girl would not have been suspended if all she said was free Palestine. She could have screamed free Palestine the entire match and no one would have blinked an eye. You are wasting your time, go yell free Palestine somewhere.

I'm sure you would LOVE for people like me to stop talking about it, right! Uh, wouldn't that be great??? You can continue being a miserable POS supporting an apartheid terrorist state without anyone questions your morals!!! But no.

But as to your lazy retort, why is CNN hiding all those people that heard more? CNN in on the anti-semitism campaign, too???

NP here. People “like you” only talk about this anonymously on this board. Maybe you also frequent Reddit. The truth is, this site is an outlet for all your delusions and spitefulness. You clearly missed the part from the CNN article where they describe interviews with game officials, players and coaches. CNN does not owe you the exact quotes of the type of antisemitic comments hurled at the girls. And if they did specify what was said to the Jewish girls, you would have come back here saying that the statements are not antisemitic. Because, after all, you are the great judge who gets to decide what is and not antisemitic.

Where's the beef? They also described "one person saying Free Palestine", which any reasonable person who conclude involved their review of evidence from ALL OF THOSE GAME OFFICIALS, PLAYERS, AND COACHES. So yeah, you're wrong. Again. It's a pattern.

Where does it say that in the CNN article? Copy and paste that. You have been coming back and saying that without showing where specifically it says that in the article. You know the article that mentions VIDEO evidence, and the fact that the investigation still ongoing. What the article failed to mention is the fact that Roosevelt high forfeited the game, the fact that coach Williams asked his players to apologize.
