The neocons smile at all casualty reports, whether they are Ukrainian, Russian, Iraqi, American.

Its because they are neither Ukrainian, Russian, Iraqi or American...

It is funny to watch the conservatives/republicans rally to Russia, Iran and North Korea. We should just call it the Axis of Conservatism.

Maybe we should clean up things at home?

Its worse than that. We can't even make TnT, which is a basic component of artillery shells. We simultaneously have one faction rapidly deindustrializing the nation, while another is trying to goad us into a global war with actual industrial nations.

This is the republicans and trumps fault. He should have planned for this. Instead our military is just a hollow shell. Trump and the republicans gave away our advantage, under cut the troops, etc and now the country is weak. Russia will roll over nato and invade the US.

When Russia invades Texas I think we will give turn it over to them. We know Texas will welcome the Russians as liberators.

"Russian inflation accelerated 5.15% year-over-year in August, well-above the central bank's 4% inflation target. Prices that high make the economic environment extremely uncertain for businesses in the nation, Putin said"
https://www.businessinsider.com/putin-russia-economy-inflation-business-ukraine-war-ruble-interest-rates-2023-9

Today:
“Some fighters retreated to new positions chaotically and almost in a panic... (Some) decided that it was Ukrainians coming to (re)capture the Donetsk airport and launched a massive attack. The result was 27 dead and 34 wounded."
https://news.yahoo.com/27-russian-occupiers-dead-34-131500265.html

Last month:
"After it became clear that Russia would have to cede the territory they had taken, the commander said Russian forces resorted to indiscriminately firing rockets at the battlefield, killing many of their own soldiers."
"They buried quite a lot of their own guys,"
https://www.businessinsider.com/russia-friendly-fire-troops-killed-strategy-ukraine-counteroffensive-continues-2023-8

Last year:
"A Russian paratrooper, who last year wrote a detailed day-by-day memoir of the war in Ukraine, described the chaos when entire battalions were killed by friendly fire. Shortly before the Wagner uprising in June, where mercenary forces led by Yevgeny Prigozhin briefly marched across Russia, coming within hours of Moscow, members of the for-hire troops and Russia's official military opened fire on one another."

Pattern? The frequency between Russian friendly-fire incidents seems to be closer together. I suspect this is the combination of green replacement troops without experience and effective leadership and a sense of panic that Ukraine will eventually overrun their positions.

Ukraine hit a bunch of targets in crimea yesterday. Reports of a submarine damaged. Finally some billion dollar platforms getting hit.

That is what really will weaken Russia going forward- losing Black Sea fleet assets is seriously expensive. S400 and 300 are nice, but ships are the big ticket items.

Does not really help counter offensive for ukriane - but helps destroy Russia.

Russia is just a discount gas station at this point, but not even a good one at that any more.

Interesting development from the conflict. Both Russia and NATO are going back to the drawing board for tank and IFV designs. New vehicles will be smaller, specifically shorter. This will reduce vulnerability from glide bombs and drones.
