But there is a difference in athletic scholarship availability so the comment about $$ is not accurate unless you are talking about D1 Ivies. My daughter will have 1/2 of her D1 private school total bill paid for with a lacrosse scholarship. |
WOW

27 SW started rough but seems to have gotten better. Rumor is the Hero’s and M&D girls that didn’t get as much playing time moved there the last couple of years. They will be behind Capital but still will be pretty good. |
| Just looking at the impressive Capital commits - do the private school kids always do this well? Are there any public school kids on the CB ‘26 team? I am new to all of this so sorry if it has already been discussed. |
The better players opt for private schools. The leagues are better among other things. |
Yeah, Black is killing it, but to be expected. They've got the #2 team, and even that doesn't do it justice for those behind them. |
I don't understand how it seems all the good players can afford private school. Most good players are rich? Or are they on scholarship? |
Not much scholarship money for high school girls lacrosse. Some people are wealthy, some see it as investment into their kids future and make it work. |
| YJMA to UNC Charlotte |
| Hero’s to Vanderbilt from Spalding |
Wealthier parents can afford club and private training from a younger age. These same parents can afford and tend to opt for private schools. Some are in privates from the start and have competitive interscholastic lacrosse starting in 5th grade (or earlier). |
Does anyone know if the Cap Blue team at ‘26 is all private school? |
| Check out their roster for yourself. It’s all online. |
Capital has long been successful at leveraging other clubs developed talent. Thats literally the model - why should we all be sooooo done? And weird that you try to argue against it. They've been successful at it. Also lots of great commits from the last several years from teams outside of Capital. And KMG has produced players. |
