Do you still play with your tween/teen?

Ball, board games, make believe? Do you still play with your kids now that they're older?

Tennis and board games yes. We talk a lot and make up stories for each other. But that is all at her age (13).

DD 13 - we kick the soccer ball around, walk the dog together, play board games - we have nearly all the variations of Uno possible!
I ask her to help - garden, fold laundry, cook with me etc.... in order to spend some time together. Believe it or not she enjoys during these chores with me.

SHe is a quiet kid, so reading together at night in my bed is her favorite.
Even as a little kid, she was never into make believe play even though she had a ton of Little Pet Shop stuff and My Little Ponies.

Whenever I'm asked, as long as it's not interfering with anything else.

Make believe. Every day. I make believe I am not worried about him, and he makes believe he doesn't love me anymore.

That's what 15 is. He'll come back.

My 18 year old son enjoys playing chess with me. It's our "thing", and we have a match in progress on a little table in our living room all the time. We usually sit down together once during the weekend for an hour or so, but the game continues throughout the week, and we've each been known to take days to make our next move sometimes, and to let the other person realize that the move has been made.

We play board games, cards, Wii sports, we sometimes shoot basketball with them, go target shooting, hikes, camping.

12.5 - yes. But our best talks are when we are:

1. cooking together
2. doing laundry together
3. doing errands (lots of walking)
