Discovery should just shut down TLC

Seriously, TLC is a liability for the company. They should at least rename it the Trash, Lies, and Cults channel. How does a channel go from starting off with NASA TV and educational/classroom programming to Toddlers and Tiaras, Honey Boo, and the Duggars?? Do creepy pedophiles and extremists really make up that much of the market share? Is there some executive who thinks its a great idea to falsely betray some of these dangerous or extreme practices?

I agree. It is garbage, but unfortunately there is an audience for it. Speaks volumes for our society.

I used to love Discovery channel. Now, it's nothing but junk shows. I don't watch it any longer.

They had a lot of the first reality shows really. A Baby Story was on in the 90s as was some weight loss journey show. Its not exactly eons away from their original market.

Haha! I remember both of those shows! They still played reruns of those episodes in the early 2000's. I watched them when I had a weekday off.
