My 6 YO is having a bday party with about 20 kids. What can I give each kid that's a good idea but not a goody bag?

girl or boy party?
Balls are a good idea for boys All kids love balloons |
make-and-take craft? something easy from Michaels- it's a good settling-in activity. |
I have done many variations of the goody bags over the years.
1) A book. 2) Group picture of the kids in the party. 3) $5 gift card from "5 Below" 4) Helium Balloon. |
A cookie to take home.
Mini flashlights. |
A Beanie Boo stuffed animal |
Beach balls. Cheap from the dollar store, you can blow them and use as decorations and then kids take them home. |
+1 to cookies! Any edible so I don't have to deal with it at home. |
those big bubble wands |
What kind of party?
If it is an at home/park party get something the kids can play with at the party: balls, hula hoop, jump rope, sidewalk chalk, cool bubble stuff and then each kid takes one home. We did a dinosaur party where we got a few big bags of sand from Home Depot, made a quick "sand box out of 2x4 wood and hid plastic dinosaurs. Then each kid got a sand pail and shovel and got to dig. The kids loved it and took the sand pail, shovel and dinos home. Books are great My kids always give t-shirts out at their parties: $2 t-shirt from craft store, simple stencil that matches the party theme and a bottle of fabric paint. It usually takes less then 2 hours to stencil the shirts and works out to about $2.50 per shirt. The kids all love it and always have a blast when their friends where the shirt. |
What Beanie Boos do boys like? If I can only find girly beanie boos, what's a good similar gift for boys? |
