"You don't have to get too skinny."
I replied -- I wish that were a problem! He said "it is I like the way you look right now."
I've just lost some weight and am almost starting to feel comfortable in my body again. I'm well over 200 pounds, but active, and have curves. But I am definitely not feeling great about my body. He and I started dating a few weeks ago and it's gone really well. We were just talking about groceries / getting healthy and then he said that. I was just floored. So happy.
Just thought I'd share because I read all the negativity and drama on this site, maybe it'd be a nice change. Hope to keep the positivity flowing and will say something nice to someone else tomorrow. |
| Sounds like a keeper! |
| Awww! |
You go! Just be healthy and comfortable for "you." Don't worry too much about the scale.

| Good guy! |
| That's awesome, OP! |

Get some good lovin' from this guy, OP. Even if it doesn't last you'll remember the pleasure and good feelings you got from this guy who appreciated your body for what it is.
I do hope it lasts if he's the one for you, though. |
Thanks. It's very new and there are some big obstacles for us to be together long term but you never know. I just haven't felt POSITIVE about my body in years. Legitimately years. And to have him verbalize that, not prompted, just true .... Is a wonderful feeling. |
| Love this! Thanks for sharing! I needed to be reminded how wonderful kind words are, both to speak and to hear. |
| OP, are you in your early 20's? |
|
Mid to late twenties....

That's great, Op! I've fluctuated a lot over the years being with my Dh and he always tells me how beautiful I am and it makes a huge difference in my self esteem.

That sounds great, OP! Congratulations
