Awesome! My brother is thin and likes to work out, but his wife is heavier. He's always liked his women with curves. Lots of guys I know like women with curves.
|
| Most men I know are FAR less critical of the shape of women's bodies than women are. I gained 40 lbs recently and DH's attraction has not changed a bit. |
| Awesome!!! There is nothing more harmful and poisonous than self-hatred. Its so great that you found someone that can help you see that you are perfect just the way you are. |
| That's awesome, OP. I totally know what you are feeling. I lost 70 pounds recently and everyone is telling me how great I look. While I appreciate the compliments, it was one that I received when I just stared my weight loss journey. I was at Whole Foods staring at cereals and a guy comes up to me and says "I hope you don't think this is strange, but you are very statuesque and beautiful". I said thank you and he walked away. It was a big, wonderful boost that meant a lot to me. I still try to pay it forward. Everyone should be appreciated no matter what size and shape they are. We should learn to find what's beautiful instead of dwelling on the negative. |
| Hurray for you OP and thanks for sharing something positive! It's way too easy to get dragged down by all the haters on this site. |
Sounds like a keeper.

OP Here. I haven't been able to sleep tonight and thought back to this thread and smiled.
We're still together and he's as wonderful as I thought he was. I feel so happy and lucky. |
| I wish you great sex and happiness and love and all that jazz, OP! |
Did you get any skinnier? Stay the same? Gain? I'm thrilled you're thrilled. |
More or less the same. I had a difficult year for many reasons including an injury that I needed PT for. That's on the mend and I've been working out a lot more the last month than I had been. I am trying... |
Some guys love a fatty

And lots of women love assholes so lucky you! |
| Don't let him talk you out of your healthy goals. Remember it's your body not his |
|
Most importantly--BELIEVE HIM.
Last week, we celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary. This fall we will celebrate our 18th year as a couple. When I met my wife, she had just lost a huge amount of weight and was at her lowest in her adult life. Since then she's had health issues, 17 surgeries (in 13 years), medications that have thrown her body chemistry off and ones that have just plain made her gain weight (long-term prednisone, anyone?). Her weight has fluctuated a lot over the years. And I really don't care what size she is. I want her to be happy and healthy. You know what? She's still the princess I married, the mother of my children and the girl of my dreams. I wants us to grow old together. The best that I can wish you, OP is that you are as happy as I am. |

So great to read this.
All those girls who are put down by their surrounding for being big should read this. I am 22, worked hard and went from size 16 to 12 but still get grief from my mother about being heavy. |
