I don't think we settled this...when is Jesus coming back?

Anonymous
Something like 40% of Americans believe in the second coming (which is s horrifying statistic). So I'd like to know when I should expect the Jesus's arrival. Don't want to ruin my weekend if I can help it.

The Bible says only He knows the hour. We are to be ready to go at all times. So that's one reason to keep short accounts, never let the sun go down on your anger, and say, "I love you" often.

PP is right. No one knows the day or hour, but when He does return, every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. To those who put their faith in Christ, this will be an occasion of joy. To those who didn't, such as the smarmy OP, this will be a time of dread and great terror. The thing OP fails to understand is that life is so much more joyous in the meantime with Christ in it. But God is merciful and patient, and He is waiting for those who ridicule Him to repent and come to Him. I hope the OP and all who find this humorous will give that some thought.

Ask him, OP.

Don't worry -- it probably won't be this week-end -- we'd have more warning.

But we could be in the end times, as that's when people will start "falling away" and the latest Pew survey says it's happening big time right now:

"Christians lose ground, ‘nones’ soar in new portrait of US religion"

This seems reasonable. Better let the Jews know too, right?

OP, your post is nasty and mean-spirited.

Do we now start taunting Muslims about not eating pork products? Oh no, that would be insensitive.

FYI Muslims also believe Jesus will return as the messiah/christ, much in the same way Christians do. They just believe Jesus was a human prophet, and not god.

Bruce jenner basically cemented the date to be within a year

So, are you part of the 40% (which is horrific according to you), or part of the 60% that don't believe? If you do believe, then you'd know, he comes "like a thief in the night". If you don't believe, then why ask the question? Oh, you are just being mean-spirited and like to ridicule people for their spiritual/religious beliefs. If you are on the fence about it, and not sure, I'd err on the side of caution and start praying, and live your life like He will be coming soon.

Sure. Silly beliefs deserve ridicule but they're is a scale. Simply refusing to eat a food without a good reason is odd. Not using electricity certain days of the week is very odd. Believing a 2000 year old dead will come back to life is extremely odd.

Well I'm convinced.
