Off Waitlist Language Immersion?

Anyone off the waitlist? What school? Grade? What number? Turning down spot?

Having just spoken with the office yesterday afternoon, they'll be looking at how many they need to contact on the waitlists today. So I expect they'll start reaching out this week.

For anyone on the Sligo 1st grade french wait list, both offered spots were accepted, one of which was sibling link. No other open spots have been confirmed by the school to the office but I think one student hasn't been back since Spring break. So if you're #1 on the list, it is looking good for you. And if you pass, then it is looking good for me.

By phone. Then a follow-up email with instructions was sent.

A friend was 11 on the wait list for RCF, and got a call today. I'm surprised the list at RCF is moving that fast.

We are high teens at SCES and I'm expecting that we won't get a call until late summer or maybe after school starts. The waiting sucks!

Called immersion office this AM, May 18 regarding Sligo Creek French and Rolling Terrace Spanish, which are our best wait list #s. They have offered spots up to #11 on SC and #14 on RT wait lists. Fingers crossed.

FYI, I was called yesterday and offered a spot at Rolling Terrace for Kindergarten. We were #22 on the wait list and we are accepting the spot.

We are also waiting for SC but are in the high 30s, so understand that to not be very likely to be offered a space even mid school year, based on previous years. SC has currently invited up to #13 for Kindergarten.

For those still waiting, I just called about Sligo Creek and Burnt Mills since those are our best chances. They have invited #16 at Sligo Creek and #9 at Burnt Mills. This is for a K spot.

1st grade French at Sligo Creek just accepted and was #2 on the waitlist.
