How long did you date before you got married and had children?

DH and I dated for 2.5 years, got engaged, got married a year later and then had a baby 2 years later. So about 5 years from meeting to having our first child.

Five or six years? But I was 17 and a freshman in college when we met, so nowhere NEAR ready to get serious any time soon after we started dating.

Same timeline. Married, 2 1/2 years after we met. Baby 2 1/2 years after. Born 5 years and one week to the day we met. Hmm.

Dated for 1 year, engaged 1.5 years, then married 1.25 years before having DC1. It was a little less than 4 years from meeting until DC1, and 5.5 years before DC2.

I think some people thought we were crazy since we were relatively young for here (late 20s when DC1 was born) and moved pretty fast, but it's worked out well for us.
