DH and I met and became very close friends immediately. We had a romantic and sexual element to our relationship as well but we weren't dating in the traditional sense (we saw other people). Our romantic relationship and very close friendship went on for 2 years, most of it long distance because we met when I lived overseas. He came to stay with me for 3 months in the US, we became serious immediately during this time and realized we did not want to live without each other or go back to the way things were. We got married after those 3 months, about 2 years after we met. A year and a half after marrying, we are expecting.
