Whatever the model, it’s working for Capital. The market ultimately decides success v failure. Recruiting is how every HS club’s strength is determined and Capital has proven it has that formula down.

No one said that Capital is not successful but way to move the goal post.

Oh right!!! Forgot that you get to decide what’s said here .. ttttttthat’s on me.

You just lost the argument about clinics/camps soundly and tried to make it into something else. You are free to make all the stupid comments you’d like. It is entertaining.

And you lost the argument that every other MD camp offers camps and clinics to scout talent. Divert the discussion any way you want — non profit v profit, whatever — every club holds camps to generate revenue and identify potential players. And every player who wants exposure to said clubs will pay to do it.

You are like a dog with a bone. Tenacious just not very bright.

Then why does a Google search for “Hero’s Pre Tryout Clinic 2024” reveal a page that once was active on Hero’s website? Tagline still reads: “HERO'S 2024. PRE-TRYOUT CLINIC. WE WELCOME ALL CURRENT AND PROSPECTIVE 2024 GIRLS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING.” Search it yourself - let us know if you need some help?

You Capital parents are a sad lot. This was for the 2024 class girls and several years ago. It must’ve worked too, as Hero’s Green finished ahead of Capital Blue 2024 in each of their years as a team. Maybe all you Capital parents should be asking Hero’s to start these up once again so you can come train with a better team before tryouts.

IIRC, even your vaunted 2025 team got spanked down by HG in the fall of their freshmen year. I’ve heard stories on how your coaching staff looked like debate Joe Brandon on the sidelines that game - dazed and confused. I suspect your 2028 team has something similar coming to them this fall if they play up in the A brackets and see HG.

Not to be confused with Camp Hero’s, advertised on Hero’s website, weeks before tryouts.

So now you’re comparing hero’s charging $40 max for 2 sessions for elementary school players to capital charging $65 per session and running 6-7 sessions. Honestly could care less what capital does or doesn’t do, but this is apples and oranges.

Um .. Rolling clinics over multiple years (Hero’s is a MS AND HS club but you knew that) vs pre sessions before Capital before its first HS club? Yup - precisely the same.

This is a summer camp for the girls on Hero’s teams where they all spend time together swimming, playing games and interacting across the age groups. Capital would probably charge you $5k and make you tryout for this camp. Hero’s does it as part of their club dues.

Those capital sessions are just for the spring pre tryouts. Add in the winter clinics for $300 and the fall clinics for $300. That’s a lot of pre tryout looks.
