I went to bed normal and felt okay then. But when I awoke in the middle of the night to close a window, it felt like the room was spinning and I struggled to walk a straight line to the window. I did manage to close it and stumbled back to bed. It was very queer but I was too tired and fell asleep. When I awoke this morning, I felt nauseous and dizzy but can walk a little. I called in sick to work. I have no appetite and just sitting up makes me nauseous. I don't have cold, no fever... what the heck is this?

No idea. My first thought was carbon monoxide, but if the window was open...
You need to get yourself to the ER asap. This isn't something to mess around with - and I'm not one to suggest the ER lightly. It could be very serious. |
Good Lord, OP. Stop posting on DCUM and call a doctor.
Vertigo?
pollen.
Inner ear. Go to an ear, nose, and throat doctor. I've had bouts of vertigo in my life, usually in times of great stress.
It's vertigo. Try laying on one side for 15 minutes, then turn to the other side for 15 minutes. If that doesn't work, you can go to the ER.
|
Dehydration? I ended up in the ER once when I was so dehydrated that I fell a few times and passed out one time, all in the course of one morning.
Update us and let us know how you're doing! |
Ear infection causing vertigo? Or some sort of other inner ear illness. Call you regular doctor, you don't need to go to the ER -- for goodness sake, this is not a life threatening emergency.
It's vertigo... Go to the doctor.
Low iron?
Do not go to the ER for vertigo. There is nothing they can do. See an ENT. Probably BVP and there is a special head movement that helps. It is caused by little crystals in your inner ear.
Vertigo
At first it sounded like you drank too much. But yes, I've had this from dehydration. Could also be an inner ear problem.
Check for stroke. If at all suspicious, call an ambulance. Do not drive yourself.
