I'm so curious. lottery was this morning.

Don't. They will let you know where you are in the waitlist when they're ready.

When I went to the info session they said they would contact everyone via snail mail. You could have attended the lottery if you needed the info immediately for some reason.

in an ATS thread from last year, somebody posted that they called the week of the lottery, but not that day.

While an open process, they actively discourage attending in person.

in the same boat here. Want to call so that I can finally cross it off since I don't think we have a chance, but don't want to be seen as crazy.

if you haven't heard by snail mail by the end of the week, give a call.

I am also quite anxious to find out but don't want to be "that parent".

Hi. DD is a student there. When we were waiting, we dutifully waited for a week and didn't hear anything. I didn't want to be "that parent" either, but finally I called and they couldn't have been more gracious. I'm not saying to flood the staff with calls this afternoon or anything. I just think that they're really used to getting calls after a few days.

Yep. I don't want to be "that parent" either.

At the school tour, I got the distinct impression that the ATS principal thought that parents who showed up in person for the lottery were out of their minds.

I agree that we will all know by the end of the week.

I called the day after the lottery. I actually already knew I'd gotten in because someone i knew was in the room when the lottery occurred, and she called me afterward. But I wanted to make sure it was official.

The lady who answered the phone actually got really excited because I was the first person who called that actually got in. I pretended to be surprised. She said she'd gotten a lot of calls, and she didn't seem particularly upset or annoyed. They're used to it.

Good luck to everyone. We're in kindergarten at ATS and it's just a terrific program.

I got that same impression. But knowing how gung-ho some parents can be, I'm surprised more don't show up

Why not? You *are* crazy.

It's ATS. It's just a school. It's not some prize to be won or something. There's nothing even that special about it. Won't you be happy at your neighborhood school?
