My unpopular opinion is that I’m unbothered by what she did. I still follow her.

I also have this unpopular opinion. I think people forget how absolutely VISCIOUS the internet was back then. She participated in it and that sucks but what is she supposed to do just give up on her whole life cause she was an ahole back then? She's changed, trying to be better, that's all I hope from anyone.

That's fair. I guess we shouldn't make anyone wear a big A forever.

I certainly could be one back in the day which I regret. Some people do grow...

Agreed!! How she is the highest paid actress is beyond me (I mean, I know how, Marvel!, but it is so undeserved).

Did you see her as a young girl overcoming a tragic loss in the film Horse Whisperer? She was outstanding next to the likes of Robert Redford.

I really don't understand why she isn't taking those types of roles, with the potential to be another Meryl Streep rather than the Black Widow roles. She has years ahead of her as an actress. She just needs the roles that show her acting talent.

Bc she can’t act as an adult. Her acting as a child means nothing as an adult.

Marriage Story
Jojo Rabbit

She was excellent in both of those recent movies, to me, at least. Hey, this is an "opinions" thread, after all....Not the PP to whom you're responding, by the way.

I do think she's been wooden in a few other things but she also doesn't always choose her films well. When she does, it works.

NP. Disagree about Marriage Story. She was just OK. Nothing stands out about her performance . I didn't see the second film so I can't comment on that.

Here is my unpopular opinion: SJ is unattractive. I simply do not get what people see in her. She's not repulsive or anything, just not this sexy, beautiful being that everyone seems to proclaim. She's like the Ryan Gosling of actresses (yes, I don't find him attractive, either).

You don’t like people with interesting faces. ScarJo and Gos both have them.

Sarah Paulsen can't act.

M Night Shyamalan was doing comedy but people took it seriously so he went with it.

Most of the Hollywood "leading men" are old grandpas who stopped being attractive over a decade ago. Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio are too old to be trotted out as hotties and it's gross.

Agreed! I don't understand the devotion towards Beyoncé. Her songs are just alright. Her acting is wooden. The Bey-Hive basically forces submission to her.

Perfectly describes Taylor Swift as well.

Unpopular opinion: I think that Kristen Bell / Dax Shepherd and Blake Lively / Ryan Reynolds are annoying AF. They have different shticks but same annoying vibes.

And my unpopular opinion is that she was attractive as a young woman, but has aged rapidly and badly, and is no longer attractive. She looks like a dried up old soccer mom now, but when she was young, she had unearthily lovely skin and a kind of glow, and her body used to be perfect. The short butch hairstyles and yellow skunky highlights she has favored in recent years are hideous with her coloring and haggard face.

Scarlett is about the same age as Amanda Seyfried, but looks much, much older. Maybe she smokes?

Yes, of course. People grow. But Chrissy’s “growth” is entirely because her brand and empire is at stake, not because she has gone through some self reflection and metamorphosis. I did some crappy things as a young adult - and older adult - but it doesn’t take a public outing to make me realize I’m in the wrong. If her carefully crafted brand as fun, irreverent, but ultimately smart and kind and the money that comes with that weren’t at stake, Chrissy wouldn’t care.

Are these unpopular opinions, lol? Because I totally agree with you and don’t know many people who wouldn’t.

I’ll add that I also think Jessica Biel is a moron. Can’t stand her and her anti-vaccine nonsense

How do you know she hasn’t gone through self reflection? This happened years ago and was brought up recently. She’s lost a lot of endorsements/business and has apologized now twice.

Simply saying her self reflection was prompted by the loss of $$$$$. Not because she took stock of how incredibly cruel she was to people on the receiving end of her nastiness, not the least of which was an abused teen who CT told to kill herself. Willing to bet if CT wasn’t losing endorsements and deals she wouldn’t be “sorry”.

You seem truly invested so maybe take it to the Chrissy thread.

I think he’s the dumbest guy in the world, but I love Joe Rogan’s podcast. I feel like it’s one of the most honest things out there, in the sense that most of his guests just say exactly what good or horrible thing they believe. It’s like a confessional booth.

Anonymous wrote:Four Weddings and a Funeral was great but Andie McDowell was AWFUL. Why could they not give Hugh Grant a better American love interest? One who could act?

Ugh I can’t stand her in that either. She is insufferable. And only slightly more tolerable in Groundhog Day.

Somebody (not me) resurrected this elderly thread, and I know I'm about to get lambasted for commenting on it, but so sad. I am so damn happy to find two of my people! WHO does Andie McDowell know or have dirt on? She is seriously one of the worst, most wooden, least believable actors ever, and she's pretty, but not shockingly fall-on-the-floor gorgeous to make up for it. Her line deliveries sound like someone reading a script in a language they don't speak. I don't understand how she'd get cast in community theatre, let alone feature films.

I thought I was alone in this long, deeply-held pointless opinion.
