Tbh except for the bathrooms and I guess the food stand, it’s really easy to social distance at a horse show. I’m sure the food stand is fine with modifications and some people have campers with bathrooms anyway. Everything is outside, and you have no need to be close to other people. There aren’t any spectators at horse shows who aren’t also riders anyway except a very few and certainly not Culpeper.

Oh obviously no one who is positive or has symptoms should go - I just meant it makes sense to me that they started them again. If you can open a golf course safely imo you can have a horse show.

I don’t think her name would come up much in DC anymore - she mostly moved to the west coast in the 1990s and lives there until she died (though she’d return to dc a few times a year). She did an oral history and I’m hoping to write a memoir of her at some point. Her name was Mercedes Gueydan Hester Davidson Douglas Eichholz.
