Yawn. You need a new bit.

Why go to Spirit? McLean parents for the 07s know the top area teams at their age group are ECNL clubs - McLean, Bethesda, Loudoun. It was these three clubs fought in the top bracket this past weekend at ASIST. The winner got to play another ECNL team (MD United) for the championship. It was these teams at the top not Arlington, GSC Spirit or other local DA clubs.

Agreed.

Doesn't Best still have strong contacts at BRYC. It would make sense that he would leverage his contacts to get field space in BRYC district.

It was the Spirit PRO team that was practicing at Robinson, not the DA teams. BRYC teams were invited to come watch. And, yes, Larry Best is still on friendly terms with BRYC.

I think WSVA and BRYC would be a good partnership - DA option at WS for kids who want that or who have national team interest; ECNL option at BRYC for those who want to play HS. Both good competition with college tracks.

FCV, McLean, BRYC youth all out to watch Spirit PRO practice.

Who's missing?

If you are talking about girls, that's just an anomaly for 07s, where DA clubs like Arlington and FCV are unusually weak. The pre/ECNL 08s in Mclean and Loudon are nowhere near the 08s at a club like Arlington. 08s in Mclean have WS as an option to play up, nothing wrong with that.

Not at WS.

Keep in mind that no DA clubs field current 2007/u12 teams. So there were no 'entries' in the ASIST tournament for these teams.

Clarification: only Arlington has a current u12/CCL team (not DA).

Actually all DA clubs field 2007 teams except WS.

What are you talking about?? Loudoun 08s beat Arlington 08s 2-0 in the finals yesterday. Loudoun faced much better competition from the 3 teams in their bracket than from Arlington.

Loudoun 3-2 over SYA
Loudoun 2-2 vs VSA
Loudoun 2-2 vs BSC (won in 7th round of PK shootout)
Loudoun 2-0 vs Arlington

They weren't at the ASIST tournament for some reason, but the other teams got beat pretty bad from what I can see the 10U lost almost every game.
