It’s a closed case. The janitor killed her and put her in a dumpster and then killed himself. Why do people keep repeating the same thing?

Eh. This was obvi the husband’s ex-wife and brother.

She damn sure didn’t kill herself.

I really want to know what happened to Asha Degree. 8 or 9 years old, came from a nice family, seemingly no issues.... left at 4am with her backpack full of clothes and books and was seen walking down a highway alone near her house, then ran off into the woods.... and that's it? They found her backpack like 30 miles away, a year or two later, with her stuff in it but plus OTHER stuff like library books from her school that weren't hers, and a t shirt that hadn't been hers originally?

YES! This was the one I was going to post but couldn't remember the guy's name. I read so many articles about it after it happened. Just. So. Weird.

NP, probably posted on this thread a long time ago about the Wone case. It still disgusts me. A horrific death and an evil abuse of a human being. The DC cops were always sure they knew who the killers were but could not nail them and I sometimes still think about how Wone's murderer(s) are walking around free.

Is there someone who can link to an article that convinced you that this was a sex game gone awry/the homeowners did it (which seems to be the consensus view here)? I listened to a podcast awhile back that had me convinced that it could have been an intruder and the police were homophobic & gave too much credence to the sex game gone awry.

Read the Washington post coverage at the time, no way it was an intruder.

There’s a hundred page thread about this and no one ever said they all succumbed at the same time.

Not at exactly the same time but in a short window of time.

Disappearance of Dr Sneha Philips. I must know what happened.

It's upsetting but obvious what happened. One of the men abused and murdered Mr Wone and the other helped cover it up.

Did they ever find her remains?

No they didn't, and MPD still has her as a missing person. I think it's extremely likely that the janitor killed her before killing his wife and himself, but it's not a closed case. Sadly, he bought lime and trash bags and I think probably dumped her in Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens where it would be hard to find remains.

I am so sorry, pp. For your sake, I hope this one is solved too, and that justice is served.

Very strange. I have never heard of this case before.

Found with gunshots next to their campsite in a shallow creek, I believe, and had told friends a creepy guy was bugging them at their old campsite so they moved to a new campsite.

+1 creepy story.

I hadn't either. And to think how much coverage Elizabeth Smart got, around that same time. I wonder what the glaring difference could have been. Poor girl.
