Who took this photo? Should be nominated for a Pulitzer. A black police officer protecting a group of men who wish him harm. Incredible.

Indeed. Reminds me of the cops who protect people shouting "Pigs in a Blanket...".

Exactly.

I condemn white supremacists and black supremacists. I'm sorry for the lives lost. It's terrible. I don't think one side shouting louder then the other makes them right on tearing down statues or any other matter. It's time for a return to civil discourse and courts deciding if it comes to that. Good people can disagree and one doesn't always have to be wrong for the other to be right.

Hate speech is dangerous. There is a difference.

I don't even know what your statement is supposed to mean. Yes white supremacy is hateful/hate filled. So are other kinds of supremacy. People who are not supremacists should be able to have civic discourse about issues like these statues except there is no forum for it. Safe conversation space of people who disagree has been annihilated in this country by people who only know how to shout.

Do you see any differences between white supremacists and black supremacists? In terms of where they came from and how they came to their beliefs? In terms of what they want for this country and how to get it there? What is your take?

(First you'd going to have to identify those black supremacists for me, though, because I honestly don't know of whom you are speaking. Are you calling BLM black supremacists? Black panthers? Nation of Islam? Black Hebrew Israelites?)

Black supremacists?! What? Who? Never heard of any and I live in DC.

They came to protest a removal of a statue in the PC world of what Virginia has become, nothing more. I agree there were elements of this group that is racist, but not the vast majority and certainly not the purpose of this protest.

I condemn all forms of violence, regardless of party affiliation. Peaceful protest of all forms should be allowed and in the end I condemn McAwful for canceling the protest at Lee Park yesterday which helped escalated the violence.
The park's name is Emancipation Park. Just a reminder.

Do whites who tweet this kind of stuff get similar numbers of Retweets and Likes?

I hate to see the statute come down. But when the white trash gets in the car and mows people down, you lose the statute debate. When the white trash that appears behind the black cop shows up as pro-statute, you lose the statute debate.

This is definitely equal to running over and killing someone with a car as you tote a swastika flag

The Alt-right movement isn't about racism. This line is a joke. What else is it about? I am non-White Republican and I would never support this movement.

They voted to remove it. It's a local issue. The locals didn't want to memorialize the Confederacy anymore.

Don't know and frankly don't care. Hate in any form is wrong and should be condemned regardless. The left never condemns their own violence which started in 2015 through 2016, yet is quick to condemn actions by a few on the right.

No, telling you. The park was renamed Emancipation Park whether you like it or not. Live with it.

Hell, Google doesn't even show my new community.
