Solve the resource problem so the school does not have to use parents to coach for free. Visi’s basketball program has uniquely benefited from an exceptional parent coach who gives his time because he loves basketball.

All of the sub-optimal lax coach choices over the last decade are due to lack of competitive pay. The previous coaches used the position to enhance their lax-related day jobs and justified the low pay as a marketing/personal branding expense.

They weren't sub-optimal until they got to Visi. KM was the #1 rated team in the country. Bucky had the #1 public team in the state. Let alone SA and others. Visi used to get talent - it just gets rid of it at the first sign of friction. I'd say the AD at least knows how to follow directions.

This is a joke post, right?

What is not factual?

So no deal? Back to the drawing board?

Didn't take the deal...

After this spring, visis program will really start to nose-tail.

They have an exceptional senior class now but come April, they will be soo checked out.

Zero stability with the coaching and it starts with the AD who should have been fired years ago

AD has kompromat…..

Is it the old HC coach who is a Visi alum and played at Georgetown?

The word is out to every aspiring coach in the area, stay clear of Visi parents and AD.

Agreed, word on the street is: it’s not worth the headache taking a glax coaching job at Visi. I think most coaches already know this about visi.
Their best bet is to snag some young coach who doesn’t know the politics yet. But as soon as the new coach catches on about the crap show at visi, that coach will be gone as well.
It’s too bad

It has been this was for a while. Full disclosure, I was an asst. at Visi who jumped ship with my HC to go to another ISL school.

Get real! Stop blaming the parents. Visi parents=SSSAS parents=SR parents=every other ISL school parents.

The real issue is a combination of the AD and NO PAY. Hard to get a good head coach when the pay for a season is effectively less than minimum wage.

Many other schools have coaches that are on the staff/faculty. Until the AD/school are willing to go that route or increase the pay significantly, this issue will repeat itself.

This! It’s a competitive league with high expectations couple that with low pay you get high turnover.

I don’t have a horse in this race but admit I love to read trash talk about Visi. I have met some lovely Visi parents but some are insufferable.

This is the dumbest post. Fired coaches/ friend's hiding behind anonymity trolling parents about HS lacrosse programs that no college coach cares about. Name the last top D1 coach that came to a ISL game, none. This past year HC, PVI, Visi, and BI coaches all gone because of “parents.”
Visi: no stands, no PA system, no backstops and four other sports with parent coaches. That school oozes “we support athletics.”

Fired coaches, let it go, it is ok, move on. You lost a four month part time job that pays peanuts.
It is about making an effort at some lacrosse development and a positive hs experience for these girls. Nothing more. If lacrosse is your world, move to MD.

If this is true, Visi should be embarrassed.
