The outrage machine is running on fumes generated by the minutiae of corporate content moderation intended to deamplify misinformation and hate speech, something that is of some importance to advertisers. Klobuchar is not saying to avoid voting by mail because of fraud, but because it is too close to the election and the Courts have ruled that late ballots won't be counted. The undependable USPS meant that there was a high potential for mailed ballots to arrive late.

I think it’s a nothing burger, but to be fair, “nothing burger” is at least partially in the eye of the beholder. But I’ll say this: GOP won’t gain any votes from this weird, slow roll “reveal.” I can’t even understand what Taibbi is trying to say in certain places.

Depending on how the prior NDAs were set up, it’s possible they are no longer enforceable post-merger, in which case Musk may be trying to get to effectively sign new NDAs without disclosing that the old ones are now invalid.
