Too early to use shared laundry room?

Do you think 8:00am on a weekend is too early to use a shared laundry room directly under an apartment? There are no posted hours or angry notes about people bothering the above laundry tenants. I think most of the people in the building are grad students, but I have a young kid, so I'd be doing laundry at 6:00am if I didn't think it would bother people.

Yes. Outdoor yard work starts at 8 on weekends, so why not laundry?

Is it particularly noisy? I would do it at 6. I'd hesitate if the laundry room was *above* the apartment, but in our building, I can't imagine that any noise transfers from the laundry room to the apartment above it. We get noise transferring down from above us, but rarely from below.

I'd be really pissed if you did it from 6-8 in an apartment building. 9 is the minimum, 10 is better, especially if they don't have kids.

I would do it anytime. Not everyone lives on a 9-5 schedule. Such is apartment living. 10am? Geesh.
