| 9:00 on the weekend is the minimum decent time. |
Agrees. It you can't handle noise then move to a SFH. |
| I waited until afternoon. Laundry is on the other side of the building, so I don't even know who lives in the unit above the laundry. It's a crappy old courtyard building with 12 unit-no real sound insulation between the laundry room and the tenants above. I'll start asking the neighbors if there have been any talk or complaints. |
| The management should post the hours. |
| 8 AM is fine. Hell, if there are no hours posted I feel like any time is fine. Gotta get that laundry done at some point. |
| I don't think it's that noisy unless you are banging doors. If you really want to be considerate, I'd leave a note on their door and ask if the noise affects them. You might be worrying about a non-issue. |
I am in grad school and wake up at 6am every day. Being a student doesn't mean I don't have a life. OP do it whenever the hell you want. It's an apartment so everyone knows there's occasionally going to be some noise transfer, and it's just laundry. Unless you've got shoes or something in there banging around, I wouldn't think twice about the white noise. |
| In our building on weekends, the washers on the floors are 8-11, but we also have a 24 hour laundry room. |
