So beautiful!
Ok so I know the famous whitish cherry trees. Looks like there's also a pink version? And that lotus-type tree….looks like two types, a darker color purple and a ivory/pale pink version? And the pale pink tree with the drooping fronds (like a weeping willow style) And this white/ivory…daisy-like tree and anything else…or links to pictures would be great! TIA! |
| Lotus type is a magnolia. |
| You can google image crepe myrtle...they're around here too. |
Red bud |
| OP here, omg 18:13 I love that tree! |

I love those. Our old neighbors in Arlington had one and I've got a nice picture of DS in his stroller in front of it. Now we live in Colorado and I so miss the DC area springtime! It usually doesn't green up here until May. It's snowing right now. |
| Why does the Bradford pear tree smell awful when it blooms? |
|
Aren't these magnolias? |
OP, thanks for reminding us how pretty spring is here.

Just a word of caution on this one - as pretty as it is, it's becoming invasive in Eastern North America, so if you are considering planting, try to avoid this one! |
|
Avoid pear trees.
Dogwoods are also beautiful. Eastern redbuds. Apple trees have beautiful blossoms also. |
