Yes, just like most of the neighbors do. It is our neighborhood high school. |
Yes, I plan to. |
Yup, we plan to, too. |
Nope. |
OP. You pose this question as though Wilson is not a good high school. It is. I don't get your point.
For what it's worth, I would not have a problem sending my DC to Wilson. However, there are a few other schools application schools that I would also consider. |
Hope so. Will decide when the time comes. |
I think she's wondering how many people will go private vs. Wilson. |
Nope. We will do private for high school and maybe even middle school. |
Maybe. Like PP, its our neighborhood school and many kids in the neighborhood attend, but it is too early to tell what will be the best choice for ours. |
Choices aren't just private and Wilson especially since OP posited questions to parents with kids at HRCs or JKLM. There are, of course, DCPS application schools (Banneker, SWW, Ellington) and Charter HS options (Cap City, Latin, Basis, Haynes, DCI) |
Probably not. JKLM has been good for elementary school and I hear good things about Deal, but we will probably go private for high school. I think Wilson is better than what it used to be, but still not really high caliber in terms of education. I want my child to have the experience of working hard in school before going to college. We will probably go private. |
Really??? So, in your mind, the kids at Wilson don't work hard? |
Not nearly as hard as kids in the top private schools. Plus, there is much more attention to writing in private school, a skill I see as very important. |
No. Zoned for Wilson. Will stay at Latin. Wilson is too big and would not be a good fit. |
