Right but she's 26-27 and you're 50.

And when I was in my 20s, I would definitely have worn that sweater to work. Grow up.

Reality check. She dresses like a 50 year old who has given up on fashion. She looks frumpy.

Too much brown. Too many different types of leather. Just too much ugliness.

I like brown especially mixing shades and especially on blondes. And I love that belt — it looks to me to be genuine Native American, maybe vintage, which would cost a pretty penny and I covet it. I agree with the PP that the big collar on the jacket makes it look dumb. I’m also not a big fan of the bustier look underneath but I’m not sure what I’d like better. Anyway, I don’t love this but it comes closer to good than most of her outfits.

I think you’re both right. Her overall look is terrible but the short sleeved lilac sweater is one of her best looks. I wonder what she’s wearing it with.

This is a ridiculous pose but the dress is cool. Although I’m not sure I like the placement of that tree over her crotch. The tree branches out in a V right over her crotch — could the designer not have placed that differently? She really has whittled her body back down to model size though.

Whatever you say. Because we all know, you have to be right.

Well, I am 52, and I know my age demographic! She is almost 30 years younger. Why does she look like my age bracket?

What on earth is wrong with the lilac sweater? She's wearing something completely appropriate for the workplace. I can't even imagine what you'd prefer her to wear, nor do I want to.

Elegant.

Lord, no.

Everything she does is weird or phony.

Right. 30 years ago. In the 1990s. Thank you for helping to make my point.

I don't know why you're honed in on the purple sweater when there are a lot of other examples of her dressing much too old for her age. In my 20s (20+ years ago), I probably would have worn that purple sweater, sure. But I wouldn't have been caught dead in an oversized suit jacket, those weird pleated tapered pants she wears, etc., I actually wore stylish, fitted skirt and pant suits every single day. Key word: fitted.

My husband likes some funky style and doesn't usually care what I wear, but I'm pretty sure he would laugh for a full ten minutes if I tried to wear this out of the house.

Ivanka looks adorable. Hate her politics and family but if I looked like her in my mid 40s, hell yeah would I wear those looks! She looks great!

Here's the sweater. I don't like the fit or the look of the false pocket tabs on her.

I watched a bit of her last press briefing and noticed (have before but no as consciously) how she bounces when she speaks. She's 5, 15, and 50 all at the same time.

New to this subtopic: I’m sure the poster was talking about it because it was posted as an example of bad old fashion. It’s not particularly terrible. There are lots of examples of her being an old lady but the purple wasn’t one. Why can’t you say - purple sweater was a bad example and then post more bad ones? No need for you to die on the hill either
