Fire in upper NW?

I think if there were any new news, WaPo would report it. But after the dramatic arrest, charging papers, and arraignment, there hasn't really been any additional information. No media site has anything new. Someone could write a story about Savvas' family's emigration to America or something, or how Savvas and Amy met, but it wouldn't relate to the crime or its resolution.

They're managing to keep the Duggar family's information and Josh Duggar's crimes on the front page.

If you want more in depth discussion, you can go to websleuths - they are on their fifth thread on this crime.

Facts = something with confirmation from police or multiple media sources

When I googled, the last date that came up was May 22nd. I do think 4 gruesome murders like these, with the family in fear for their ten year old son's safety and that of three adults deserves close and thorough coverage.

I totally agree with this and am hopeful that they are at work on an in depth story that will be published soon. On the other hand, I do kind of agree with those who say that WaPo might not be headlining this story so as not to offend its' black readership. Hard to say.

PLease tell me what new information has come out -- real information, not speculation -- since the Post covered the initial appearance. What they don;t need to do is come out with a tabloidy article every day. They have covered the actual news completely.

Yikes, I'm not up to that level of research, so will just take your word for it. I feel the assistant is innocent of any crime, but have a thought.

Would a box truck like the one accompanying Wint be used in the race car circuit? I forget the name of the truck company, but they apparently are set up to provide roadside automotive support. Would a truck like that be used to provide mechanical support at a race?

Great point!

I think WaPo is not headlining this story - because it is gauche, cheesy, classless and tasteless to engage the PR three ring circus when tragedy strikes. Even the Post knows better. Simple.

Doesn't have to be tabloidy at all. Just an update, even if to say no new info. Given the circumstances, that would be appropriate.

WASHINGTON -- D.C. police say they have released four people who were detained at the same time that the suspect in the slayings of a wealthy family was taken into custody.

Police did not identify the four people or say how long they were detained. There was no immediate word on the whereabouts of a fifth person taken into custody when Wint was.

Experts say the releases don't mean they're in the clear, and they could still lead police to valuable information, reports CBS News correspondent Julianna Goldman. Prosecutors say they expect to bring more charges in coming weeks.

I agree. They went way over the top with cases like Chandra Levy in a very tabloidy fashion. I would not want that to happen to anyone and definitely not in this case.

Has anyone seen the video of this kid. Seriously I am convinced it's the person in the person of interest video. Take a look at the video of Dw on his moms FB page. You can clearly see what his built is like and how he moves.

Still kind of can't believe it given how much it's been posted about in news articles online. Took me a bit of digging to find it though, in case anyone is wondering: http://www.gofundme.com/uwer3ug
