Wow. I don't think she would have the educational background to be an instructional aide but maybe she'd work in the cafeteria or something? (even still, you'd think that require a background check)
Truth be told, reading profiles on her mother I do have sympathy for her Washpost did a profile of her a few months ago (http://www.washingtonpost.com/sf/local/2014/12/22/a-lost-mother-and-daughter/) It's very clear picture of how the cycle of poverty perpetuates itself, how a child traumatized by parents who are addicts, homelessness and bouncing around foster care placements and institutions did not adequately prepare her for being a good mother. I don't excuse her actions but I certainly feel pity for her. |

If she is a school aide and her boys are school age why would her job conflict with visitation? Wouldn't the boys be in school when she was at work? Do they pull kids out of school for visitation?
In my heart I know she sold her daughter to traffickers. I hope she never gets those boys back. |

The job interferred with her court dates re: regaining custody of the boys if I recall correctly. |

If she was hired after the boys were removed, her CPS history should show up. Schools don't only do criminal background checks, they're supposed to do child welfare history checks too (since by definition the applicant will be working with/around kids). Her sons being removed absolutely should show up. Either the school didn't do an adequate check, she didn't use the same name, or as someone else said, she lied about a lot of other things, so she may be lying about this. |

| Not knowing who she was, she could have been hired pending a background check. That's what happened to me and then had to sit and wait for 3 weeks for fingerprinting, drug and alcohol screening to clear. Could not set foot in a school or officially start until everything was cleared. Agreed it is a cycle of abuse and you really have to feel sorry for her as she is a victim too by all accounts, but saying that, the cycle has to stop somewhere. For those boys to have a chance they should not be returned to either parents, praying they are with loving foster parents. |

You know obviously jack about what it takes to be an educational aide. They're not exactly cream of the crop. Background checks can be essentially meaningless. Mohamed Atta's visa was approved 6 months after 9/11, so if people don't recognize Rudd's mother by a different surname, I don't blame them: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/crime/six-months-later-ins-approves-terrorist-visas At least she's trying to get a job and be a productive member of society. I don't think she should work with kids though. |
