| Wait as long as you reasonably can, and then take the test. If it comes up as a problem (which it may not) hire a lawyer. Assuming the position in question is not directly related to drug enforcement, you'll be fine in the end. |

| If you don't smoke frequently it will only show up on a pee test within a few days. If they do hair, it will show for months. If you are a regular smoker, it will still show up on a pee test weeks later. |

Because you will need to make legal arguments in response to legal accusations. There are federal statutes and regulations regarding suitability and eligibility for national security positions that will need to be interpreted and applied.... |

Legal does not mean protected from an employment perspective. You do not do weed when working for fed gov't or contractors if you want to keep you job. |
