Either one with a simple salad and garlic bread.

beef tenderloin. Always a hit.

Ziti, chicken carbonara, salad and garlic bread

Roasted or grilled flattened chicken, corn on the cob, baked beans, salad

Grilled steak, roasted veggies, salad

Chili, cornbread, salad

We entertain a lot and not super fancy but always manage to send guests away happy and asking for recipes.

That's so funny. I was thinking the opposite!

A nice summer plate of tomato/mozz and burgers - beef, turkey/feta, veggie - with fixings. Plus some good roasted potatoes and a cucumber salad. Maybe even a Greek pasta salad for a crowd. And lemon squares or coconut cake for dessert.

Would obviously be a summer meal but I could go for that!!!

Does anyone have a good baked ziti recipe they can share? Or even just the basics. I tried to make it once and it came out a bit dry and bland.

I'm embarrassed to say I served this to my fellow Jersey Italians one day when I didn't have time to make sauce from scratch and they all raved and asked for the recipe:

Cold winter night: morrocan slow cooked lamb stew or DH's baked ziti (really is nonna's recipe)
Summer: grilled fish tacos or mixed fajitas
